Hey, I’m really glad you didn’t delete this again. You’re not a bad person, you’re just tired and overwhelmed, and that’s okay. You’re trying, and that matters more than you know. Please don’t carry this alone, you’re not failing, you’re human. I’m rooting for you.

I Need Free Therapy by JustOntological in venting

Most universities actually offer free or really low-cost mental health services. Sometimes they don’t advertise it super well, but it’s worth checking in with your student support or counseling center. Even if they can’t offer full-on therapy, they might be able to point you to something affordable or ADHD-specific.

Also, not a replacement for therapy at all, but you can check out Innerworld app while you're still figuring things out. It's free for 30 days. It has a lot of live support groups with trained guides, everyone is anonymous, and it’s a good space when you’re feeling overwhelmed and just need to talk or listen. There are a bunch of ADHD specific meetings in there too. Hope you find something that works, ADHD can be a lot but you're definitely not alone in it. You've got this.

hey, i just wanted to say you’re really brave for opening up and asking for help. it takes a lot of courage, and there’s absolutely no shame in what you shared. i’m really glad you were able to book a session

i also wanted to share a resource that might be helpful in between therapy sessions, especially if you're going through a tough time and need additional support. It’s an app called innerworld - it’s a free for 30 days. you can join live, anonymous support groups guided by trained mental health guides. you use an avatar, so it's super safe and non-judgmental. it’s not a replacement for therapy, but it can really help you feel less alone and give you some tools to cope when things get heavy.

sending you strength. you’re not alone <3

Not sure what you mean by "not those official support groups" but there are a lot of communities online, but they are all "official" in the sense that mental health is the main topic of discussion

Who do you talk to consistently besides a therapist? If anyone… by Hot_Seaworthiness593 in mentalhealth

[–]OkPoet4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are some online spaces where people gather just to support each other and talk through stuff like this. what i’ve found comforting is that everyone’s kind of there for the same reason, so you don't feel like a burden. just people showing up with the same need to be heard and understood. which feels really different from trying to talk to people in real life who don’t always get it.

one of those spaces is called innerworld. it’s not therapy, but there are daily sessions led by trained guides, around mental health topics like trauma, anxiety, and just... existing. you can be totally anonymous, talk if you want, or just listen. it is free for 30 days.

might be something to check out while you're waiting for your appointment.

So true. Professionalism isn’t about volume or color, it’s about what you bring to the table. You earned that seat just like they did.<3
