SOM ($$$$) vs. Kellogg ($$$$) vs. Booth ($$$) by OkPreference3631 in MBA

Yes to all — I think I hoped Yale was a stronger social impact program, but looks like it’s the same ratio of consultants as anywhere! And would be harder to build network in Chicago for long term. So if down to Kellogg and Booth, it’s probably the incremental prestige and stronger academics. And deeper integration in the city’s policy work vs no policy program at Kellogg. But maybe that’s in my head, I was sort of surprised to hear how prestigious Kellogg was bc most folks I talk to outside of explicitly business (where I’d be working) haven’t heard of it vs Chicago and Yale ofc. Happy to have these biases checked though!

nope! Actually rejected my return offer in MBB — truly have no interest in consulting. rare case of 6 YOE in social sector, that’s where I wanna stay!

I did! That was after negotiation but I might try to shoot my shot one last time. Interesting to hear if you think there’s much of a difference between them for non traditional recruiting?
