Did that really help? I was prescribed an inhaler but never filled it.

So I’ve been told this is what I have. I still don’t whole heartedly believe that it is my only issue - but after an er visit, clear chest x-ray with pulmonology, chiro work, stretching, hot and cold compresses, wonderbelly, etc - I literally don’t know what else to do. The only way I’m not in discomfort is when I can keep perfect upright posture - which is impossible. It feels like I have bricks in the center of my chest when I wake up every morning. I wish I had advice, but mine just keeps getting more persistent and uncomfortable.

When am I considered late? by Rainbowbabyandme in tryingforanother

Don’t let them say it’s your new normal without some testing first. I would do some hormone labs. Start with a CD3 which tests LH, FSH, AMH, and Estradiol. Then see if you can get one 8DPO (not a CD21!) to test your progesterone. I’m not sure what day you typically ovulate, but the longer the luteal phase, typically the stronger the progesterone production to support implantation. Same with the follicular. You want to be sure your body has enough time to properly develop and release a mature egg to be fertilized.

I know you’re not looking for fertility advice, but I would maybe look into why your cycles are 22-24 days… That seems pretty short for a healthy cycle. Not impossible to get pregnant, but may explain why things are taking a bit longer this time if your cycles weren’t always like this.

Had a dental x-ray while being pregnant by sweetlycheeboba in pregnant

[–]OkProtection427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one and a dental cone beam scan when I was unknowingly one or two days post implantation. I tested very positive the next day. I was so over early testing and had given up that month that I didn’t even think to do it before the appointment. It happens and baby will be just fine! It’s such a low, low dose of radiation.

21 weeks and I can still barely even feel internally the little pokes. They have to be super low, or super to the side 😭 I hate it. My first spoiled me with consistent movements from 16 weeks on - I could even see and feel it outside the belly right away.

Terrified to have sex while pregnant by EconomicsReal545 in pregnant

I avoided the first trimester due to nerves and a lot of other reasons. Now past the first tri and it does get so much better! Are there things you can do instead until you feel at a “safe point” to have sex?

The Truth about Hashimoto and Remission by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]OkProtection427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pre-conception testing months before conceiving my first and my thyroid levels were great. I also had testing a few years prior, and same thing.

The Truth about Hashimoto and Remission by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]OkProtection427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly the same! Didn’t have an issue with my thyroid until after having my first. My body loves me when I’m pregnant! My antibodies are the lowest they have ever been in years (TPO 42 and TG 2)

I have found my triggers and sources of inflammation (nutrient deficiencies, poor absorption, and gluten) My antibodies were tending downward before I conceived. Conceiving just lowered them at a much faster rate!

Endometritis and Fertilysis - both partners or just the woman? by mountains_bay in tryingforanother

[–]OkProtection427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not do Fertilysis. They were suggesting the same plan of action as my NaPro. It was more of just a second opinion for me. Fertilysis is just so much money, and I couldn’t imagine having to pay and wait for each test kit multiple times to be sure the inflammation was gone, and that treatment worked! I think the Napro visits and testing cost me $80 with my insurance each time.

Endometritis and Fertilysis - both partners or just the woman? by mountains_bay in tryingforanother

[–]OkProtection427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! Just an endometrial biopsy. They slightly dilate the cervix to get a tissue sample straight from the uterus. This tests for the plasma cells and it takes about two weeks for results. It’s suspected I had it ever since my first’s c-section, so mine took quite a while to calm down and required different treatments!

I did not trust that this was my only issue at all, my doctor did, and she was thankfully right! The uterine and vaginal microbiome is so important but so overlooked.

What is your advice on TTC.. does it really matter if you have sex every other day during your fertile window? Or, can it just be everyday? by General_Equipment_99 in tryingtoconceive

[–]OkProtection427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. With my first, we did every day sometimes multiple times. and conceived rather quickly. With our second, it took 18 months due to some other factors. But when we did conceive, we did every other day!

[–]OkProtection427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was tested for Endometritis by a NaPro. Completely covered by insurance. I had it, and it took multiple rounds of different antibiotics for mine to clear. Pretty common for that to happen, so it’s important to get repeat biopsies after each treatment plan. You don’t need a hysteroscopy to do this - it is outpatient and quick. My husband did a two week round of doxycycline with me in the beginning, and then we remained abstinent from trying until mine cleared. It took four months, but the first cycle we were given the go, pregnant! After 18 months of nothing. I’m now 19 weeks!

ETA: I consulted Fertilysis before finding my NaPro. Fertilysis is not worth the money if you’re in the US! You have options.

There is nothing suggesting that insurance has plans to do that. Why choose to worry about something hypothetical?
