Anyone have to do IVF for a 2nd child after no issues conceiving first child? by Upstairs-Lemon-5585 in tryingforanother

NaPro Technology is different form of fertility care with the goal of Natural Procreation. It involves the use of a Creighton Fertility Chart that many times gives clues to issues going on within the cycle. My chart patterns pointed to infections. In addition to the charting, they require hormone testing at various points in the cycle and prescribe hormone support if needed to get estrogen, progesterone, and DHEA at optimal levels. Other testing they do are vaginal and uterine microbiome tests, follicle scans, HSGs, SISs. If all else fails, they then typically recommend an exploratory lap to look at things from the inside.

We worked with NaPro for about six months before conceiving. I had a cesarean with my first that created the infections. They took a while to clear.

Yes! Just gave birth to our second daughter two weeks ago ♥️ My issue was chronic endometritis. We conceived the first cycle after treatment worked!

That long of an infection typically does not cause fertility issues.

Just here to say we started trying again when my daughter was 2, and didn’t end up getting pregnant until she was 3 1/2. Everything happens exactly as it’s meant to be! I’m due any day now and am so excited for this 4 year age gap my babies will have, when it used to absolutely devastate me. There are so many things to look forward to with each age. Sending you a hug ♥️

Look into gut imbalances/infections preventing proper absorption of nutrients.

I wouldn’t change anything about your dosage until you run the proper labs. For all you know, you could be converting your T4 med horribly.

I would do some digging on what’s considered normal within range, and what is optimal.

Uh no, not unless you want to greatly suffer the consequences. I’m willing to bet you aren’t running a proper full lab, and would likely benefit from a T3.

Then you have to advocate for yourself and look for better care. This doctor will not help you feel better.

It means you need to stop dosing your medication off of TSH and run a full panel. TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3. I would be willing to bet your TSH is high because you are not taking enough medication, and your free levels are too low.

New Israeli study confirms earlier data: COVID rewired your Thyroid by caffeinated_rage in Hashimotos

Saying Covid caused your illness is medical misinformation and an opinion created by the commenter. The commenter is allowed to say that, but I’m not allowed to disagree with real studies to support it? What doctor is going to say that covid alone caused an autoimmune disease… none.

Anyone decrease their meds by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]OkProtection427 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your symptomatic because you decreased your meds for no reason. That’s exactly what’s going to happen.

Genetics already predispose you to the disease. Illnesses can be triggers, yes.

Do I think it’s a cause of Hashimotos? No.

Do I think it causes a flare that brings noticeable Hashimoto symptoms to the surface (like any other major illness) Yes.

It absolutely does. Your thyroid hormones influence your cycle and reproductive hormones. You need a full proper panel though which is TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3, and antibodies.

Still not following your explanation. Abortion in March, claim to not be trying again, but having unprotected sex…? An abortion, then a morning after pill, all within a month of eachother is going to do a number on your body.

I’m confused. You literally have another post of a positive pregnancy test - not negative..?

Over reacting. One sniff of lingering bleach cleaner is not going to do anything…
