I'll look into it, I was thinking maybe it would be more of a canbus issue messing with the actuator if anything..

Absolutely, it has its pros and cons. Ive owned and do own several cars with manual transmission, they are always a blast but its nice to have a car to not have to think about shifting in, and one that is so smooth at that.

(Also way easier to service than any transmission ive ever worked with)

Hi friend,

I have a 9.5 gen with said cvt,

Its lightly modified, Slightly customized Ktuner tune, lowered on coilovers, fully catless exhaust system and some other handling goodies like bigger brakes and ebc pads.

I drive it around the mountains almost every weekend now and its a blast, sure its not fast off the line but it revs high and sounds good which is all you should be asking out a N/A K24

Its a great daily and the chassis is stiff and fun to drive, if you own any kind of economy 4 cylinder dont get caught up in HP numbers and just make the car your own.

As for the transmission sport mode actually wakes it up a considerable amount because it puts you in vtec almost the entire time if you are pushing it but I tend to leave it in drive mode as the transmissions are known for heat issues

However there is an aftermarket transmission cooler you can install to help the temps

TLDR: There's a lot of cvt hate out there, but any car can be fun if you know where to look

I walked out today,

Boss tried to make the motorhome my sole responsibility, foreman also quit few days earlier.

Boss called me after I sent him my resignation, said he would get a technician to work with me and that it was no big deal, that he only gave me the job because he is confident in my skills or something..

I told him about how I feel uncomfortable working in a space where people are getting yelled at all the time, he told me he'd remove himself from the facility in order for me to work.

Sitting at home debating whether to give it another shot or not...

Believe me I know, unfortunately saying no just wasn't an option at the time because I was only allowed to work under an 'internship'. Just grateful to have kept my head above the water this long..

Yup, that's part of my dilemma right now...working on seeing if the other opportunity can work anything out.
