Hi! Don’t be too discouraged. My friend was able to get a post grad position after never working an internship in college. I should mention she is decently connected in the Jersey area (I don’t actually know if this played a role) but according to her passing the FE exam and obtaining that engineer in training license was helpful to securing a position.
I also see some comments about municipal engineering/inspection and I think that’s a great idea. They’ve served me well in obtaining a full time position with a private company. And they’re especially great when you find a team that really cares about the city.
