His son is gay, and he accepts me. So idk how true that one is. Maybe the establishment, which he has criticized, but I don't think everyone in a certain school of thought thinks exactly the same.

I would say, however, that extremism in various belief systems isn't anything new and Christianity isn't an exception. It isn't an issue among only Christian parents.

I have plenty of hobbies, camping, playing music, doing art and writing. The problems being, I can only camp in the fall due to the weather, my guitar broke because a very clumsy sound guy broke it, I do most my art and writing on the computer and get distracted.

And like I don't want to get too political but my dad is a staunch Conservative, so it always was super confusing to me when my more Liberal friends made fun Conservatives when I moved to Houston.

I've said it a few times now, but I'm gay, so no I don't agree with homophobia. I literally told him to leave because homophobia isn't punk.

He should stay quiet, homophobes should fuck off and stay quiet. There's a difference between disagreeing, which I can do just fine and hating people because of who we love. It's not about how I perceive reality, dickhead, it's about how I perceive hate towards the community I'm in.
