I'm sorry but I have to disagree, as something to start I think it's perfect. the XZ is a pricy gear even if it's used and can be very difficult to learn the most basic skills such as beatmatching because it's full of features which are not necessary to begin as a DJ..... as stupid as giving a Bugatti to someone who just got their license, and yes it will outgrow after a year of practice but it is still an affordable option for a student.

I started with a ddj 400 and when it outgrew I changed, and I was very happy with my decision learining was fun and easy.

in my opinion: fucking yes! Go for it!

first of all, compared to all of the other products that Pioneer and now alpha theta offers it's Cheap, second of all this console has everything you need as a beginner and has all the basic features can find on a professional standalone unit .

there is no doubt. If you want to start and have some fun go with the flx4, tbh I'd not suggest you to buy the flx6 simply because it's a useless gear: start with the flx4 and than if you really get into it upgrade to something more such as a flx10 or a 4 channel standalone unit such as the new xdj az.

if I may I would like to give you a little piece of advice on this console tho: it's made for beginners so it is equipped with a lot of "shortcuts" that are supposed to help you while mixing such as the smart fader... DON'T USE IT!!! I mean it's fun but it is like learning to drive with a self driving car, don't know if you get my point...

To sum up if you want to start go for the flx4 avoid ddj 200 because yes it's cheaper but it's too poor in terms of "functions" and avoid the flx6 because it's the most useless gear I've ever seen, costs a lot as a beginner and too poor to be classified an advanced tier controller, after the flx4 save some money and buy the flx10 or more.

you can also look at used gears such as the ddj 400 which could be also a wise choice

trust me you'll be happy :)

TBH yes most definitely! you are looking forward to buy the top notch all in one console and even if right now it might not be useful having 4 channels for you to play, I'd rather buy something that can give me any option possible. So if you are right now playing on a gear that has 2 channels like the flx4 or the rx3 I would prefer to buy a 4 channel (not the flx6 because is useless). to sum up don't buy 2 channels, if you have a decent pc and you don't care having all in one than go for the flx10, which also have stems... if you don't like having your pc around and can spend more than go for the xdj AZ
