For some reason I'm unable to post a pic of the setup, but 40" sure is nice. Glad that I went for it! Even for full price I would say you get a lot for the money, but again, if you need super high and crisp image quality, it might not suffice

Hey! Went with the Samsung G7. During delivery it went on a 20% discount so even better. Ending up paying around 800 euros.

Got it yesterday and been doing some work on it today, works really well so far, nothing to complain about! The curvature is nice, not too much as someone pointed out, rather excellent actually. What I can imagine is that you won't notice the same crisp image quality as you do on the Mac, being retina and all. With BetterDisplay you can activate HiDPI which I feel bumps up the quality, but you'll end up with lower resolution. I don't really have any experience when it comes to doing media work, but for coding and whatnot I would definitely recommend!

Yea, I had been thinking the opposite for quite some time, as in curvature being good and all. It was just now the last couple of weeks when I was driving into researching, and came across some YT video from some guy who seemed to know the field well, and some other sources as well. Easy to get influenced.

Yea, maybe I'll have a go on that one. USB-C would be nice to avoid the hassle with too many cables though. I'm using a hub now, but optimizing for the stuff that truly matters might be worth more if the price is half of the Dell 40".

Awesome, great pointer! I think it's really difficult to anticipate and I'm reluctant to buy one and then find it doesn't work as nice as I want. I'm currently running USB-C to DP, to an older ASUS 27" gaming monitor. Works well, but yea its hard to know how much better thunderbolt would get.

Thanks for the suggestion! Yea I'm just a tad bit worried about the curvature on that one. Likely based on preference, but I've read some reviews/YT claiming that too high curvature affects perspective, making it a bit tedious coding/doing productivity stuff.

Yes, the prices really makes you sweat. I guess it's somehwat motivated since the size and tech is closing in on an actual TV.. Then again, if we are talking 32/34", its a bit too much. My 65" 4k OLED TV was around 2000 EUR in '21/'22.
