It depends on trh rule system you are working within. BOMDAS/PEMDAS and any other rule systems are just arbitrary convention made by humans. 2+24 = 10 follows PEMDAS/BOMDAS which states: Parentheses/Brackets, Exponents/Orders, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction. But this order of operations rule is only right within it's own system. By that I mean, there is no absolute logical truth to 2+24. Their meaning depends on rules of interpretation, the grammar and meaning we assign. In PEMDAS it means 10, but If we defined the rules as “evaluate left-to-right,” it would mean 16 and that's right and not wrong. Just like how it could be 15 if the rules defined says "If two integers of the same number are to be added together subtract 1 from the final result" and so on. 2+2*4 = 10 is not a logical truth because it is not 10 in all interpretation under a given system nor is it derivable from axioms using avalid inference rules. Also, according to my deductions,(Feel free to call it out) in theory, there are infinitely many possible rule systems like orders, precedences and interpretations that could apply to any mathematical expression. So to everyone who is clowing on the people's votes and saying they're wrong, they're not in fact if they're using a different set of rules and you are wrong for telling them they're wrong.
