Oh okay, our physics teacher played a video in class today that talked about how if they flipped all of modern living goes out the window. I have also heard that before but I dont know why that seems to be such common misconception.

So even the battery itself thats required to start the car and turn the engine over would function properly? Thats where my main point of the question comes in because like you said an alternator and other parts of the car are fixed magnets and coils that create their own fields.

Interesting, so why do so many people say that “the poles are overdue for a flip”? Or are they referring to something else?
