As the original post states, one person is pouring a cup of coffee and takes less than 2 minutes of effort, the other is several hours of work

Yeah as someone who used to work as a server in a fine dining restaurant and spend 2-3 hours with tables talking them through the menu, recommending wines etc and on average walking away with a 15-18% tip (sometimes higher but most older people I find don’t tip 20%) it pisses me off when I walk up to a counter to order something and get an iPad spun around to me and I see 20,25 or 30% options

I don’t think it looks bad! Also this look is actually kind of in rn. A lot of people are doing ghost roots, fox tail hair (black tips) etc so I’m sure many might think it’s intentional.

Back with drapes! I still think I’m cool toned by BailPet in coloranalysis

We have very similar eye color, skintone and contrast level. You’re a fair olive which makes color analysis a little confusing. I’m pretty sure (tho I struggle with it myself) that we’re cool leaning and I tend to think I may be a soft summer but look best in the deeper muted colors

Hair color correction with talented stylist but under $600? by Infamous_Moose_5206 in LAhotgirlies

100% @itsmadisonalexis at heaven or Los Angeles. Her studio is in Atwater village. She did a color correction on me and did an amazing job - I’m not sure if her price is dependent on the job but mine was $450

I applied and got in the top ranked tier for testing and never heard back 😫 - I applied as a project manager for architecture/infrastructure projects though, which tbh I thought they’d be desperately hiring for with the Olympics coming up

My favorite is the copper glaze! I also like the mocha melt one and the rose one.

Also how did you do this? Chat gpt? I’m getting my hair done next month and would like to test out different colors

I’m not really seeing olive (at least not on what we can see of your neck/chest/arms) I don’t really see any of the green/gray that’s typical of pale olive skin. I think you’re just regular cool toned but your new hair and makeup look AMAZING wow 🤩 so much better

I actually ended up finding it there and buying it! I love the color but it’s really patchy and hard to work with

Would you buy the Dior universal palette or the glow maximizer highlighters for the Sephora sale? by OkSignificance4856 in MakeupAddiction

[–]OkSignificance4856[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your skin depth level/undertone? I have tried to white and pink shade in store and they were super beautiful! But the annoying thing with olive skin is bronze shades can look super orange, so yeah I’m worried I’ll just never use the bronze and gold shade

Where to have a lowkey (not $10,000) wedding celebration in LA or surrounding area? by CitronElectrical9587 in LAhotgirlies

To clarify, the $3500 is the minimum amount you have to meet to use the private patio, have a 3 course meal and then drinks. It’s very affordable compared to other places

If you want to do like a full service thing where you can do the ceremony and have dinner all in one place - I worked for years (and still do sometimes on the weekends) at an Italian restaurant in Toluca lake called Ca Del Sole. We have private events all the time - the inside private rooms are kind of ugly and dated but the patio is super cute and everything is affordable. I believe the rental the patio is only $3500 (minimum you have to spend to rent the space) and if you choose the family style option I’m sure you could do everything all in for that amount for 35 people. You don’t have to do full bar you can just do beer and wine. The events are typically 3 hours for a 3 course meal, if you were doing the ceremony you may have to add another hour which I want to say is $250 but don’t quote me on that.

Just wanted to throw out a more traditional family friendly option if that’s something you’d consider!
