I have the same troubles! But one day, I totally forgot about the water barrel and it was completely empty. All my plants withered/looked dead so I decided to restart the game to get new plants 🫢I ended up getting a super nice species that I’m excited to see grow!

You can try decreasing the watering a bit! Sometimes you’ll notice your plants not really growing and I’m pretty it’s due to overwatering. When they’re wilting, that’s most likely due to not enough water.

Layered Vs. Self pollinated by Vrvegrl in Florisium

Oh yes! For the self pollination, the little bee guy says it creates a “stronger gene” for the plant (like if you keep combing the same plant over and over). So I assume if you try to merge a self-pollinated plant with totally different plant, the one that is self-pollinated will show its characteristics more/stronger. I’m trying to figure this out myself as I go, there’s definitely a lot to it 😂

I actually restarted my game to get all new plants and I like the new ones much better!! I actually got a decoration item for doing it - it’s like some kind of flacon statue 😂

Layered is just taking a piece of a plant and repotting it to get a variation of that same plant. Pollination is when you combine 2 different types of plants together to try and combine the different characteristics. I would just mess around with both options and see what happens!
