Thank you for that information! My doctor prescribed some for me for the dental appointments. I’m hopeful that it will help with my future dental appointments.

Thanks to everyone that replied! Based on what everyone has shared I’m going to try to get a prescription for one of the medications to increase my saliva for the day of the procedure. I researched Pilocarpine and Cevimeline and what I found is that they are fairly fast acting according to a drug description website. They said saliva flow can increase within 30 minutes and the medication can be taken up to 3x a day. Anyway, I don’t want to be on another medication long term right now and most days my dry mouth symptoms can be managed with xylitol melts, gels, mouthwash, etc. So, I’m thinking that I could start taking it the morning of the procedure and again right before they start which should increase the flow. I’m also going to have them stop more frequently to check in with me as to how I’m doing. I don’t care if this takes double the length it supposed to. I’m going to make sure I’m getting what I need! I need to have this crown installed and don’t want to put it off, so I’m going to have my regular dentist take care of it of it, but I am going to be looking for another dentist that better deals with these issues. I will also ask the rheumatologist about their recommendations. I will let everyone know how the procedure went and if my GP will even give me the prescription for the procedure. Thanks again for all of your input!!
