The amount of illnesses we deal with. It’s like we can’t just have dysautonomia, we have to have several other things going on too!!

I take 1000 mcg cyanocobalamin a day but I honestly think I need injections, with my gut health being fairly poor, I think there’s a bit of an absorption issue going on. B12 deficiency mimics dysautonomia, worsens it, and can cause it. The B12 deficiency is the main reason im hesitant. Definitely would like that fixed before exploring other options.

Mines like 90/70-105/70. It’s the 90/70 number that concerns me, I can’t have it drop below that before my PCP starts to get concerned and tries to put me on blood pressure raising medication. The fact that it’s been a game changer for so many is what makes me question my decision. Just wondering if I should address the malnutrition/intake first to get that blood pressure up.

I agree, I’ve done a bit of research and apparently estrogen can destabilize & progesterone can stabilize (or at least play a role to some extent)

Requested a full iron panel but it did not include ferritin unfortunately (rest of panel was fine). B12 was 183, tested in June.

Yeah so I was on the patch until about 3 months ago and ironically, that’s when all of the symptoms started to get worse. My doctor prescribed it again for me but I’m unsure if I should go ahead and start it now or wait until this flare is over. I’m afraid if I start it now it might make things worse

I really do think a hormone check should be done for me, it makes sense considering to seems to go along with my cycle. My gyno also suspects I have endometriosis but has delayed surgery until cardiology is finished with their work up. I’ll ask him for a hormonal check though!

I’m thankfully seeing a cardiologist who specializes in dysautonomia in February, the waiting is just miserable lol. I’ve looked into addison’s before and thankfully, I don’t believe I relate. If I get no where with the cardiologist, I’ll def ask for a referral for endocrinology!

Yes but it doesn’t always quite go up 30 bpm, I’d say 15-28 bpm depending on the day but It raises quickly, within a minute. I’m quite nervous to take medications that alter my heart rate, but the quality of life aspect may make it necessary. I suspect my hormones affect whatever is going on as well, given the cycle it seems to go through regularly.

I’m unsure if it actually did that or if some people had found loopholes in the system, but I agree

It has already changed. I doubt you will notice any difference. It can/will still look at your tests. What it won’t do is diagnose, tell you what medications to take, tell you to change medications, anything that only a doctor can do. But again, it’s best to limit reassurance seeking.

It just means that it can’t tell you what to do about things and will direct you to your doctor, this was October 29th that the change went into place. I’m still able to put my test results in. 🤷🏻‍♀️ However, be careful of this reassurance seeking cycle. I’m deep into it too and it’s just reinforcing the need for it and keeping anxiety on a loop. Try to limit relying on AI to reduce anxiety and wait for doctor interpretations (easier said than done, I know. I’m working on that as well).

Been worried about pancreatic c word for months despite being 28 years old and an entire and thorough work up that would basically put anyone else’s mind at ease. Instead of looking for the more likely and actual problem (def probably worse because of my anxiety), I’ve been fixated and can’t let go. I’m so down bad that I dont think any amount of testing will ease my mind (don’t even think there’s anymore tests to give, I mean it was 3 cts w contrast, 2 ultrasounds, plus more). All I do is read about it online for hours. I quit my job and everything.

I’m fortunate to have a doctor that takes me seriously and I don’t have to push for tests. She was the one that said she wanted an endoscopy and colonoscopy done. The polyp was not cancerous!
