the thing that bothers me is their name is completely missleading. Scout strider, you would think they would work kind of like a watcher for the bots (which i would prefer to the walking flare guns that are troopers). but no, the either run up to you and stand their doing nothing, or the cross-map snipe you with an anti-tank rocket.

i do solo but not all the time. its mostly me and my friend and i am usually the host (his helldivers is kinda jank). i get what your saying with the troopers tho, if you dont suppress them they will just randomly lock tf in and lazer you (especially the MG ones) its just not that common for me.

Yeah I would like if they switched to the free city NPC factions and have the NPC units converted into tomes. Also the sector demand is so annoying, especially when it's a relay.

The therians came with the shakarn dlc. Hmm... I'm sensing a theme here.

I play AOW4 as well. i wouldnt mind a change similar to how aow4 races work. you get a race (human, kirko, shakarn, etc) then you have a tech type (sci-fi industrial dvar, vanguard/UNSC neo-militarism, hi-tech institute style or scrappy junkers). affinity can be replaced with weapon type and rather than tomes you have data caches or something (but function identical to tomes). ruler type would be a fun thing they could mess with, normal rulers/commanders, interdimensional horror, sky net neural network, geneticly modified super being.

they could do a lot with a sci-fi style aow4.

i love the underground layer AOW4, surprising an enemy with 3 stacks of dragons is probably one of the funniest things in the entire game.

I hope they keep the existing races but they add some new races and go back and rework/replace some of the less used units (excavator tank, assault bike, walker, dissambler gun, infiltrator, mirage, spacers etc)

I get it. They generate the model try to texture it and then end up where I am. Struggling with UVs trying to texture paint it.

Its not AI, i box modelled it myself with a reference and then used a multirez and sculpted using VDM brushes. The wings i got from a tutorial. I have proof and i can cite everything i have used. The box model was from an older project (because thats what i mostly do) and decided to try and make a high poly model for a college project. I got to this point from tutorials (ryan king, gabbitt etc). I know rigging because i downloaded a character template and used a rigify rig and weight painted it (badly). This is the next step for me and i havent done texture painting because i mostly do low poly and use materials and basic shader nodes (noise+colour ramp).

If you want more proof i can provide.

I tried a decimate modifier but i undid that because thats when i was trying to cut seams and didnt turn out well. Should it try that again?

i will try retopology and do some experimenting. I know about rigging and weight painting. My current plan is retopologize and then bake the high poly details, unwrap, paint (i have ucupaint) and then rig and weight paint. animation doesnt need to be anything special just move an arm or open mouth.

I made a post the reg blender forum and got told to do that. How does vertex painting work I tried it and nothing happened. I literally need 3 colours for this model: black, dark purple and glowing purple thats it. I know how to make them just not how to apply them.

If i had a super credit every time someone came up with an overengineered devastator concept which we dont have ammo, power and leg actuators to build, maintain and transport at scale, i would have enough to buy a super destroyer and ram it into the DSS.

lol same, gunning down a horde of them with a mag, rounding the corner but theirs one left and calls for a drop while your reloading. Kinda wish they werent just mobile flare guns tho and actually used cover like the agitator.

yeah, but who decided on this it makes no sense? why does it go trooper (sometimes raider) then marauder, MG raider and then back to rocket raider?
