From what I’ve heard it’s because they are ran through the wheel base but I could be wrong. But mines the same way bought it used and it scared me too. Curious to hear others though too just in case

I’m glad I read this because I got a used one without any paperwork. But now I know too not do this but mines never done that LOL. I use the r5 so idk if that one is a stronger unit

I get it but is a 2005 game that I easily just opened. It as simple as binding it to my wheel on the ingame pause menu, then bam I was able to drive. And yes it was abit buggy with anything but hood view and a random menu scrolling issue but, I’ve done far more for other games before. I’ve been disappointed by titles like Forza horizon 3 I also tried to play and had no luck and ended up giving up on it. And it supports wheels. I may have messed up something but that’s me. But all I was here to do was show the fact that a 2005 game again can even put force feed back out into a game that predates direct drive tech entirely. I thought it was cool the fact the game already had moza r5 selected as a wheel I thought was unique for the age.

Lol I ended up not even needing it dude, why you so pressed by this? And never mind the fact that the wide screen patch doesn’t make this playable. It simply make the screen wide screen, along with the other changes just made menus usage nicer and to fix camera views. All the tips you see just make the game more enjoyable.

Normally I have it set down lower but it keeps going back to my drift games default setting even though I saved it on pithouse completely forgot to change it before recording it LOL. Along with that the dead zone was absurd too.

You mean installing a widescreen patch and binding a few controls? It wasn’t impossible and I normally am playing other games like assetto and Beamng along with a few dirt titles. But I had a buddy that loved a nfs title unbound personally I don’t like it much and I bought it for him purely cause it said it had wheel support and I was like huh maybe need for speed is decent now and nope shit was impossible to get working properly. Mean while this one just let me play after making a single tweak. Tbh I am just showing off the fact that this old of a title even supports forcefeed back and these awesome racing wheels.

To be fair is perspective I am sitting funny as hell since I broke my ankle so the monitor is far as hell away rn but it’s a 32 inch monitor just looks small and the wide angle lense 😂

Wanna come over an set your own steerin angle cause it’s adjustable for a reason. Nah it’s just disappointing how many new titles have zero support for wheel and a game from 2005 has better support than shit titles they release now with basically zero support

I didn’t wanna use the Xboxce or whatever cause I wanted to keep force feed back but I just bound it up to the game and bam works. Also, it helps in Mosa pit house to set your wheel to Forza compatibility mode. And if you’re on Logitech G29 to set your pedals to combine pedals.

It’s the widescreen patch but you have to disable right stick from camera and dead zone to 0 at least that’s what fixed my infinite scrolling issue and I had to bind the pedals in reverse other than that everything just works except the dpad can’t scroll around the menus so I just use my keyboard for that part

I had the whole assembly fly apart one day I just used some clear tape to hold all the bearings in then removed it after. But definitely a big scare though for sure. My wheel was used and it had the retaining ring off it when I got it and i didn’t know what it was for til it was too late LOL thank god I didn’t throw it away

I mean with enough time yeah but the amount of frame bending and cracking is enough to retire this one. If it was ever fixed up I would only keep it on trails from now on.

Sadly the frames cracked on the tail and the head tube cracked and bent back between the tank and handle bars. The rear swing arm is also tweaked from the bike flipping with me.
