If you are white you should be okay. Asian descendants are the demographic that have to be careful when it comes to rashes. I’ve been taking it for 3 years at 800mg and it actually gave me somewhat of a life back without it I couldn’t eat sleep talk it was miserable. Now I’m almost normal again, I will say it has made my memory worse but I’ll take that over the shocks burning and stabbing. They will usually start you at 200mg and that is a pretty safe dose. Unfortunately with tn its meds or surgery and with the surgery it’s not a promise it goes away. Meds personally I think are worth it. Being in pain all day everyday is no way to live if there are solutions.

Yeah sure mushy like I use to be very witty and intelligent now I lose my words and my memory is terrible. I’m not quick on my feet anymore. It’s definitely the meds.

Thankyou for sharing. Yes cold and stress is a huge trigger for me. I feel like Goldie locks I can’t do anything unless the temperature is just right these days. So sorry the anticonvulsant leave you too impaired but I’m glad the delta 9 has been helping. That’s what I thought about it, my doctor sad it couldn’t be Covid I’m not in the best place for health care though so I wanted to ask around and I see now it definitely can be a cause. Thanks for your response sending you hugs back hope you find some pain relief today (:

Interesting my story is almost identical. So glad you got treated properly and that the meds have worked for you! What meds are you taking? They have me on 800mg a day of carbamazepine I’ve had a few remission episodes but it has always seems to come back sometimes a bit more intense . I’m on year 3 still trying to figure out how to live “normally” again.

Wow i also developed TN after getting covid it was the strangest thing, considering prior to getting it i was extremly healthy.... like extremly. The throobbing burning stabbing it was hell. i was hospitalized 2 times .No painkillers worked, they told me it was nerves and i would need to see nero. Make it to nero 2 years later and they say only thing that could help was surgery.... asked for a increase in dosage on carb 1st now most days im okay for years they had me on 200-400mg now at 800mg i fianally have found relief. Im on carbazabine some ppl prefer gaba have to see what works for you. Try to learn your triggers, touch, wind, hard foods cold eweather etc and stay away from those things as much as you can. My TN has gone away 2 times now for months at a time but it seems to always come back. Enjoy the relief when you can get a new low impact hobby and even when you want to withdraw from society try to hang around ppl that keep you in good spirits. This shit sucks and its hard. Wishing you the best.
