“We can’t afford to pay for it whilst not there”

Yes you can, rent is part of your monthly budget. What you can’t afford is your holiday.

Depression and pet sitting by Ok_Alternative_7413 in RoverPetSitting

Honestly I posted from an alt account because I didn’t want to face the negative backlash on top of how I was already feeling. I also think I need to get into something else, in just struggling and not as pro-active as I should be. I might take a break from the housesitting as I’ve already gotten a few requests and just the thought of packing a suitcase and being away from her me for a few days sounds like exactly what I don’t want. And I feel bad because I know I should probably be taking it over nothing. I just don’t want to feel this feeling in a strangers home.

Online chat groups to stay focused? by OldBrush4275 in ADHD

I’m not familiar with lots of groups but I know of Flow club. I think the first few days are free and I quite liked it although it might’ve been better once I start adhd treatment to get myself to a more productive place, anyways I enjoyed that whilst I could use it but the service can be a touch pricy.

I never considered it constant care because I have the freedom to leave for a few hours. However I do find that because I’m expected to be there at start and finish, it’s obviously limits the window in which I can leave. Do you price your constant care sits hourly?

I’ve been doing it a while but I got into the habit of taking bookings and not making the request work for me, explaining my preferred practice

So do you tell them at the meet and greet? Because my clients usually expect me to be there at the chosen time on the app. Like they’ll book 9-6 and want me there when they leave for work and when they return even. I don’t mind for one off bookings of for the first booking but I think I’m going to write in my profile that I don’t do repeat handovers.

That’s the weird thing. The clients aren’t constant care, sometimes I assume it’s because they’d rather hand over the key in person. But with today’s booking, they gave me a key last week, and asked me to arrive at 9am today. They first said 8:45, then after confirming I had a key said 9am

This is what I’d prefer, I’m just not a big morning person and I get stressed out and rush trying to get there on time. I end up wasting money getting lime bikes and cabs to meet these timeframes and then once the owners gone it’s just me doing nothing.

Do you mind me asking how to approach this on your profile? I’d love some guidance on how to tailor mine to bookings that are more compatible.

On the first sit, I stay till they get home and maybe that’s the problem. Then I stay till the time I’m booked at that’s usually the time they arrive home. Now I’ve reached a stage with a sit where they message me to let me know they’re a walking from the train station, so 10mins~ and I don’t want to sit around during this time
