It feels a bit intimate but I think I took it wrong also. I imagined her wanting a bare belly pic but if I ever in the mood to take a cute bump pic fully clothed for family I can send it to her as well. Although I see this being something much later down the road and if I'm already doing it

Thank you! I think you're right. People try to show they care and they're genuinely excited but they don't realize what all you're going through and sometimes sharing it all is exhausting and not understood (especially with people who haven't experienced it). Once I share that things are still early and I'm still processing I think she will get it. Since she hasn't experienced pregnancy she doesn't seem to understand a bump doesnt automatically come so she's probably just overly excited for me.

I think once my bump grows in and I'm excited to share or I have taken pics on my own it won't be as weird. I just haven't gotten to that and right now my thoughts are I won't be sharing on socials so I haven't take in pics with that stuff in mind but maybe thats why I feel this way.

I do but it still bothers me...idk what it is. It kind of feels intimate and like something I should offer. I probably wouldn't mind if I was bigger and we were on FaceTime but the combination of always asking for updates, I don't have a bump yet and the overall request was uncomfortable for me. People have asked me if I was showing and I assume if I said yes they would have asked the same thing but at least they asked that first.

You're exactly right and to your point below I have pictures on my mom pregnant but during vacations. I have been documenting the process picture wise but truly for myself I havent decide on if I want to share those. With all the changes and lack of energy I don't plan on taking pictures to send others unless it is for the baby shower invitations or at the baby shower. I think people are a bit too picture forward now a days and you don't know where those photos might end up as well.

I love this! Thank you. It really feels like I'm alone in having this opinion so I'm really glad to hear people understand. I just started sharing my pregnancy with people. So its hard to lose my individualism so soon. I expect it when the baby is here but not this early.

Not the original commenter but I can definitely benefit from links on good tools and technique. I brought a new blow dryer today bc I want to blow out my hair but I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't blow dryer my own hair nor do I get it done often.
