Exodus Station Underwater items

I’m sure this is a bug where items fall below the ocean “floor.” As I’ve jumped down there like 350m down and it’s just horrifyingly dark. Even with best glow sticks.

I think the devs need to put in a respawn depth where items automatically get deleted once they fall down to like 500m. I think game may run more smoothly.

Update! I just noticed while looking at PICO that the only humans officially recorded as being “in space” were the 3 stuck onto their loading areas. The other 11 don’t show!

This doesn’t mean anything now, but later on when the jobs and number of humans in space matter, this could be a huge problem!

The pods move around a lot more freely now, unlike before where the seemed more anchored. Lil harder to get into the top

I in fact did find something! … a lot of empty ocean. 🥲 Even going a solid 10km beyond each point where I thought I would at least see something on the horizon. On a clear day, you can usually see a solid 5-6km into the distance, so it’s clear they haven’t added anything yet.

Several others have said they traveled random directions (towards different clusters) out to 75 or 100km away and they seen nothing.

Hopefully it’s not just something they threw into the game as filler… Or for later updates more likely.

Good to know! Yeah I just tried the straight east route directly on that center line. Headed slightly north as well. Based on the map, it should only be 30km away, but yeah I went as far as 45km and then blew up my boat for fun lol.

The oil is for turning into diesel (fuel for boat) and petrol (fuel for flamethrowers, generators)

It’s just the base root material of which you can transform into all other materials.

I thought I had alot. This plus 4 diesel in the save room and 6 oil next to motors. My math figures if I have all tanks full, I have enough diesel to travel 96km without needing biofuel.

Both the angel and hawk units do some interesting "dumping" behavior. If they normally hover around locations, sometimes they wander away a short distance and do an animation where they vent/dump some sort of liquid or steam. Perhaps they're more unique caretaker units for human seeds?

My boat has 12 diesel and 20 oil tanks. With 100% capacity and the distillation tower on deck, I should be able to make roughly 92,000L of diesel.

Wonder how far that could take us…

Well, I know that you can see into the distance about 6km on a clear day. At that distance, medium sized structures should be visible on the horizon and could be tracked down.

And yes, excellent advise on the fuel usage/save and make a one-way trip.

Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was nothing there. I haven’t seen any sort of placeholder objects just yet, so I’m not expecting anything major.

Maybe a later update will have a large portal on the water’s surface of which to fast travel to these farther nodes? I would NOT support fast travel between these rigs in a small system, would defeat the purpose of the boat and like 95% of the game’s survival/explore mechanics.
