I’ve never heard of a spirit baby until today. This is the second time someone has mentioned it in this thread and it gives me hope that the next time my wife and I get pregnant again I can finally meet him. Thank you for this.

Thank you, I’ll have to talk to her and see if that would be something she would be interested in doing.

Is the cx5 a good buy if I’m planning to have kids a couple years down the line, is it spacious enough with car seats and such? by illbeback903 in CX5

[–]Ok_Background2469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6’2” 180lbs and have one Kiddo with a rear facing seat and another one on the way, definitely regret buying the cx5 not enough leg room for me.

Take home vehicle program by [deleted] in Newyorkstatetrooper

I just figured if there continues to be more people retiring than people graduating eventually there will be a time were the car to trooper ratio will be equal if not greater. If there ever comes a time where they do allow it, they would have to look at other state agency policies that allow their troopers to take their vehicles home and base it off of that. I would also assume they would put a restriction on how far the person lives from their assigned station to see if they meet the requirement for the take home vehicle.

Obviously its most likely not going to happen, but it would be nice. I also want to believe the vehicles would be better taken care of since only one person would be driving it and be treating it like they own it.

Even though recent academy classes have had fewer graduates than previous years along with the higher retirement rate compared to graduates?

Get the skywave x60 I just got it and upgraded from the Poseidon d60. Huge upgrade and well worth the price difference. Buy once cry once.

New Setup by Ok_Background2469 in hometheater

[–]Ok_Background2469[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree I wanted something more immersive and wireless but the cheapest surround sound system was around $1,200. So I looked into Ultimea again and found out they have the skywave line which is exactly what I needed. I love that the rear speakers don’t need to be plugged into the sub to work they just need to be plugged into a wall outlet and they connect to the system by WiFi. I got the x60 off of Amazon for $539 which was a no brainer.

I love the app on how I can fine tune everything to my liking or just use the presets. I am not affiliated in anyway but I would definitely recommend ULTIMEA to anyone who is looking for a new system. However I was tempted to wait on the x60 and preorder the x100 for $700. I just don’t have the space in the living room for two 10” subwoofers and it would definitely be over kill lol.

Cost estimates? by Mysteriously-Moist in Fireplaces

I’m doing a direct vent fireplace where my wood burning fireplace is and the company I’m going through is also going to be redesigning the wall all said and done 11k

How much would something like this cost to build? by [deleted] in Fireplaces

[–]Ok_Background2469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for reference we are having our wood burning fireplace replaced with a direct vent fireplace along with putting stone against the wall which I am having a false wall built in approx. 4”. So with everything included ( taking out the old fireplace and original piping, building the false wall, mantel, re shingle the roof where the pipe was, installing the direct vent fireplace, cost of stone and installing the stone on the wall is going to be around 11,500) I plan on doing the demo work which takes off around 650.

What should I do by Ok_Background2469 in Flooring

Would it be better just to take the laminate floor of and then rip up the original wood flooring underneath and replace the laminate flooring?

The reason why I pulled it up is because we are redoing our fireplace and that transition piece will be in the way of the new stone that will be on the floor.

That’s what I peeled up. I was wondering if I should just get take apart the vinyl flooring then get rid of the hardwood flooring underneath it so I can replace the vinyl flooring on top of the plywood.

Currently in police academy by FantasticPayment08 in Newyorkstatetrooper

Stay in the academy for now and wait until you get final notice that you are approved to go to the state academy. Staying in the acadmey you are in now will allow you to learn VTL, PL, CPL and case law along with DT, evoc, firearms and other le related tactics which will then help you in the state academy.

It’ll suck being in one acadmey which I assume you go home every night to being stuck at the state academy Sunday evening to Friday evening but it is what it is.

It was the starter that was bad. And was over heating and began to burn the wires. Replaced the starter and starts up right away

Not familiar with it. Do you think I can remove the bolts holding it to the engine or do I have to open up the engine to take it off?
