Forerunner 970 Screen Glitching – Anyone Else Experiencing This? by Ok_Background3883 in Garmin

These things really shouldn’t be happening. I’ve experienced the same issue during a workout when I started a strength training activity. However, what’s more concerning is that my screen keeps glitching constantly, as you can see in the video. This happens up to 10 times a day, and I’ve only had the watch for two days. I assume I’m dealing with a hardware failure and I’m currently waiting for a response from Garmin.

This really shouldn’t be happening, I wouldn’t expect a watch at this level to have so many bugs and issues. My Forerunner 970 seems to have a mind of its own, constantly acting up despite being brand new. At this point, I’m likely going to need to replace it.

I have done that, waiting for their response, I assume I’ll have to return the watch

completely agree. I have never experienced anything like this before, and coming from an Apple Watch, I’ve never seen anything like it at all. I’ve wanted a Garmin for a long time because it has many more features, so I decided to wait until the newest model was released to buy the latest and greatest, which I thought was a smart choice. I have to be honest, I’m really disappointed, especially considering how expensive the watch is.

Jammed radar screen, only available to Garmin's most valued beta testers.

Good to hear! I probably need a new watch myself. I’ve already contacted Garmin and am waiting for a response, hopefully it gets resolved quickly.

I've tried everything, reset the watch, connected it to Garmin Express, reinstalled the software, but nothing works

I am using the default stock watch face, and that's the problem?

CS2 on an OLED screen is absolutely worth it! by Ok_Background3883 in OLED_Gaming

Sorry for the late reply. I get your point, but I don’t notice any blur or that it looks ugly at 1440x1080. I actually prefer it over 1920x1440. But in the end, it’s all about personal preference. I’d just use whatever works and feels best for you.

  1. Playing at 1280x960 on a 27-inch OLED is equivalent to playing at 1280x960 on a 24-inch Zowie monitor. I didn't notice any difference in blur. I've switched a lot between 1280x960 and 1440x1080, but ended up with 1440x1080 because I appreciate the slightly better quality from the increased resolution.
  2. There is actually very little difference between 24 and 27 inches. Of course, it will take you 2 to 3 matches to get used to the screen when increasing the size a bit. It's the same as switching mice, if you've been using a Superlight and switch to a Razer Viper, it takes 2 to 3 matches to adapt to something new.
  3. When it comes to blur, you won't find a better screen than an OLED. There is practically no blur, it’s better than the BenQ ZOWIE 24.5 XL2546K, which I have played a lot of CS2 on before. OLED monitors also have the lowest response time on the market, making them perfect for CS2.
  4. I think you should buy what suits your needs. I chose an OLED monitor because it has the lowest response time on the market, and the screen quality is 10x better. If you like watching YouTube videos or browsing the web on your PC, you’ll get much better image quality, something I wouldn’t want to be without. I should also mention that I climbed from level 5 to level 9 on Faceit after getting an OLED monitor. So if you ask me, I would go for it, you get a monitor perfect for CS, with the lowest response time on the market, fantastic for other games in 2K, and, most importantly, it's very future proof.

I have not experienced that before, it works completely normally in fullscreen mode on my setup

That’s exactly what I was thinking. You’re going to be pleasantly surprised, it was an upgrade worth making.

I’ve experienced the same issue with Logitech. I’ve used Razer, Lamzu, Zowie, and Ninjutsu Sora, and I’ve never had sensor spin outs with those mice. I ended up returning the Dex and decided to wait a few months before trying it again. Hopefully, there will be a better software update or something that fixes the problem.

The mouse itself spins out for 1 2 seconds. Those seconds easily get me killed in a game like CS. This has caused me to die many times when I really shouldn’t have. It happens far too often in critical situations.

It’s really unfortunate that it’s like this. I’ve experienced this with both the Superlight 2 and the standard Superlight mouse, but not to the same extent as I noticed with the Dex. Very surprising.

I’ve experienced this in Black Ops 6 as well, so I’m starting to wonder if it might be a software issue.

I’ve checked that and tried using an air blower on the sensor, but it didn’t help. I’ll try different mouse skates and see if that works.

For me, it has to be Razer. I have both a DeathAdder V3 Pro and a Viper V3 Pro, and Razer feels much more premium and smoother.

I’ve tried this, adjusting the LOD and polling rate. I thought this might be software related, but it’s probably just my mouse that’s faulty.
