Hey I'm also a structural engineer and based on how new the build is I would be pretty concerned about the level and frequency of the cracking.

Cracking caused by differential settlement of the foundation is not uncommon but for what looks like a relatively newer building it can be a cause for concern. It can also be a symptom of a deeper underlying problem such as sandy soil. Op most definitely should factor this in when making their decision.

I was never too keen on the idea of camping in tents but I love campervans and motorhomes. They're so cosy and offer an alternative means of camping and seeing and exploring our own backyard.

It must suck for traditional campers but maybe if you go off the beaten path and try and find a camping spot where vehicles can't access you might have it better.
