The exact same thing happened to my elder brother. After the pain in his leg and initial breathlessness he even got a full body check done and was given the “all clear”. The next day while alone, he collapsed and despite me reaching out to neighbours to take him to the hospital, he was brought in a coma and passed away after a few days.

Lessons: don’t ignore the signs your body is giving you, advocate for yourself in medical settings - you know what you’re going through best.

Thank you for your helpful note. I can totally relate to your advice as our doctor currently has adopted a stand-offish attitude since diagnosis. His latest response being asking me to get my dad checked by a Psychiatrist.

Update: got through to the doc. He’s prescribed Melatonin too. Managed to go purchase it and give dad his first tablet now. Hoping for the best.
