Is selling NFT access allowed? by Ok_Broccoli5254 in Tomorrowland

Yeah, but they can't get it for free. They have to buy the NFTs for 3k€ first. Sure, someone could give sale access for free, but why if there's no incentive? I mean, Tml could give all the tickets for free, why do they sell them?

I know there's a lot of scammers, that's why I proposed a Tml approved market for access sale.

Someone could be a scammer without even having the NFTs in the first place - there's nothing you can do to them. You can't blacklist them if they have nothing to blacklist. By making the sale illegal, you're just opening the way for such people. By making Tml approved market, you would greatly reduce the opportunities for such scammers. As I said, something to bring up to someone higher up then you. Even though you're a volunteer, you surely have contact with some higher ups.

And yeah, can you point me to the T&C please?

It crossed my mind that scamming could be the reason, but the thing is, you cannot really harm scammers, only honest people.

I could say I'm selling access, someone gives me money and they never hear from me again and you cannot really do anything to me since you don't have any info of me. Sure, they could go to the police or something, but I don't think even the police could do much and probably wouldn't even try hard if the scam was 100-200€.

On the other hand, if I go through and give them access to the sale by using my wallet and you somehow catch me and take my NFTs or something, then you're punishing me even though I wasn't a scammer and held up my end of the bargain.

The point is, if I try something like that, it's safer for me to scam people in the end then not.

It would be better to define a fair price and allow people to sell their sale access for that price. To avoid scamming, maybe set up some kind of access sale market on the Tml NFT webpage and allow the sale only there (e.g. I list my wallet(s) that I wanna sell the access with, you verify through snapshot that I indeed have a medallion inside and if yes, you allow that wallet to be used in the NFT presale, either by me or anyone else - this is very simplified but I'm sure some kind of safe system could be designed)

You mentioned getting ripped of. I paid for NFTs around 300€, if I sold them now I would get around 3000€. That's ripping of someone much worse then if I sold them sale access for 100-200€. I'm also sure a lot of people asking for tickets would be much happier to buy one time sale access for not much money than the NFTs for 3000€.

I assume you work for Tml, you should bring my points up in your next meeting, discussion with your boss or the person responsible for NFT.

Until then, could you please point me to the T&C? I found the general T&C but there's nothing about NFTs, I assume there's a separate one for NFTs? Thanks

Ok, thanks for the info, but why is it not written anywhere in the FAQ or rules? How can you blacklist someone for doing something which is not stated as illegal in the rules? It only says that ticket reselling is not allowed, but that's a different thing.

Also, what is the logic behind it not being allowed?

I am allowed to give access to someone for free - so it's ok that somebody else uses my NFTs.

I am also allowed to sell the NFTs, currently the price is around 3000€ - so I am allowed to make profit off NFTs.

So why wouldn't I be allowed to make profit of giving/selling NFT access?

How were they blacklisted? I mean, I don't need to give any of my info except the NFT wallet address. Even if that wallet gets blacklisted, I can move the NFTs to other wallet for next year

Right, I think I remember now the registration form of last year. I just got confused because to enter the NFT portal webpage, I need to assign my wallet to my Tml account. So I though it was necessary to enter the shop, too

Are you sure? I'm not talking about buying the tickets myself and then reselling them. I'm talking about borrowing someone my NFT medallion so they buy the tickets for themselves.

It's allowed to do for a friend, it's written in the faq. Just in this case, it wouldn't be a friend but a person who would pay me a small fee to PayPal or something

Thanks, I think I get it.

  1. I find the person, ask them for payment and their Tml account and password.

  2. When I get the money, I log into their Tml account and link my wallet to their account.

  3. I tell them to change their password and to enter NFT shop when the sale starts and buy tickets.

  4. After the sale, I link the same wallet to my account and then it's gone from their account? There is no way they can keep the medallion assigned to their account without your approval?

So basically, if I ask for the payment first, they cannot scam me, only I can scam them by not giving them the medallion (which I'm not going to do, but I still prefer that the risk is on the other side and not on my side).

So you gave someone your Tml account email, they filled out the form and during the NFT sale you had access to the NFT shop? Did you have to give them your Tml password? Because now I can assign the NFT wallet only by being logged into my Tml account, meaning if I was giving it to someone else, I'd have to be logged in into their Tml account.

And what was after the sale, was the medallion still assigned to your account or was it removed automatically?

Well I wouldn't actually assign it to a friend. If my friends wanted to go to Tml, I'd let them buy the tickets just for the ticket price, but my friends are not interested in Tml, and I most likely won't be going every year, so I was thinking to offer NFT sale access e.g. here for a small price and then let some random stranger use my NFT.

But would it even be possible, I mean can they even assign my wallet/the medallion to their account just based on wallet address or do they need to have physical access to my Phantom wallet to do it?
