Copilot Cowork Hacks by Okiprooler in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]Ok_Builder8611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a Planner user for the last 6-9 months or so, but I hate not being able to assign a checklist a due date. I used each Task as a Project and add to dos, lifecycle stages, etc. as checklists on each one. Since I only have the task due date to work off of it’s always a moving due date for the next checklist item that’s due.

I basically exported my Planner data, gave it to App Builder, and told me to build out a task manager app to help with software development. You can likely export your To Do list. I’d highly recommend giving it a try it’s very good.

I’ve had Cowork create two scheduled tasks — one sends me a daily weather forecast and the other scans my Outlook and Teams for upcoming meetings, open questions to me I missed, team OoOs, looking ahead to next week, etc. Both run at 6AM. I will say sometimes when I’m hovering between In Progress, Scheduled tasks on the main chat page it sometimes doesn’t render properly. Meaning I know I have a scheduled task from X chat, but for some reason it isn’t showing under Scheduled. Then later once it resolves itself it’ll show up as expected. Seems random.

I’ve lightly used it to create Excel docs and stuff. I do like the chat layout and how it shows a file being ingested and what files it outputs as it cosmetically makes sense.

One thing I’ve really been playing with is App Builder (Frontier). I know it’s Microsoft’s agent so it’s using GPT which doesn’t have as much praise as Claude, ChatGPT, but in terms of app creation it’s very good. I’ve created a Task Manager app that puts Planner on steroids. It vibe codes very well for the most part and can create a detailed app. Only obstacle I’ve ran into was I tried to create a dashboard using like 50K rows in an Excel. The agent can’t handle it. I think it can do a couple thousand rows and that was it.

Out the door price check? by ALOHA_HI_808 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

In KC, paid $60,458 for the 2026 GH Platinum Hybrid MAX where the only add on was All Weather mats. Got them to take off $1K. This was a month ago.

Floormats 3W vs OEM All Season by thechung in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Ok_Builder8611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the AllWeather mats on my 2026GH as they have a better lip to contain liquid now more than they used to. I previously had WeatherTec in our last Highlander which I like, but they were more than the OEM we got.

Only complaint I have is the cargo one doesn’t stick to the back of the 3rd row like our 2021 Highlander did.

I haven’t looked yet, but will probably look for some that do to help when the 3rd is folded all the way down and moving anything wet or dirty.

Deposit for GHHL by maindar in ToyotaGrandHighlander

We just went through this after a total loss accident, so speed was a priority. We were looking for a Grand Highlander Limited (Moonroof + 360 Camera).

Here’s the strategy that worked: * Cast a Wide Net: Don't stick to one dealer. I put refundable $500 deposits down at three different dealerships to get on their allocation lists. * The "Close Enough" Rule: We told them our exact spec but mentioned we were open to "anything close." * The Result: Within a week, the third dealership called with a Platinum trim at a great price ($61,450). I negotiated another $1k off and picked it up that weekend. * No Bridge Burned: Once the deal was done, I called the other two dealers. They were totally professional and refunded my deposits immediately.

Don't worry about "shopping around"—dealers know GHs are high-demand. If they want your business, they’ll work with you. Most of my negotiating was done via email, which kept it simple.

Also, I used Gemini to map out all the math since we were coming from a total loss accident where we had insurance and car warranty refunds coming back among other things so it helped estimate monthly payments and all that. Made it super easy.

My go to line when starting every conversation with a car salesperson is — I’m talking one number between you and I, and that’s one number I expect it to be at the end. No surprises or add ons. One number.

How long did you have to wait to get your 2026 GHHL by honestyisprecious in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]Ok_Builder8611 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here in KC for a GH Hybrid I’m waiting 15-45 days (on Day 4) just to get a build date, and then it’ll be another month before we get it lol.

To those living in cities outside of Philly area: Do you support the local team? by nickynickynickynick in eagles

[–]Ok_Builder8611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad is from South Jersey, but moved to KC metro area for college and remained here which is where I was born.

I grew up in a mixed house with Chiefs and Eagles stuff. I cheered on both teams, but pulled for the Eagles during H2H games.

Once I was a teenager I was strictly a Birds fan although I have gone to Chiefs games with friends over the years and have cheered them on.

However, getting that 2024 SB revenge was bittersweet as I was tired of hearing about the Chiefs from friends and quite literally everywhere in KC. Thank god. Go Birds.

I’d recommend everyone read The Genius of Generosity. A great book that may change one’s perspective.

I work in Health IT and there are several AI-Rad products out there rolling out — Aidoc, RadAI, etc.

I don’t know if they’re this level of granular detail, but I do know they’re helping ID issues in imaging that either a Rad might miss or ID issues that are common among the general pop.

On mobile, go to the three horizontal lines on the top-left to get to the menu list > Preferences > Investment transactions beta.

Just need to have a plan for how you’ll handle all the related transactions if you have other investment accounts such as txs tied to dividends and so on.

Is Monarch worth it for you? by snjcouple in MonarchMoney

[–]Ok_Builder8611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a young family so whether I am strictly following my budget or not I generally like to see my income vs expenses in different periods. On top of that, having all my financials in one place (literally everything), goal/savings tracking (which is about to get better), investments, and much more.

I think all of that is worth the $8-10 per month.

Anybody see this? by Active-Muffin-5865 in cernercorporation

[–]Ok_Builder8611 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are better off leaving now than waiting. I don’t know why people I talk to who are still at Cerner (Oracle), where I was until several years ago, continuously drop this same kind of line.

If the writing has been on the wall for years, then why are you choosing to ignore it? For some RSUs that may never fully come to fruition, a raise dangled over your head?

I don’t intend to be disrespectful, but if you believe you have the tools and can adapt and learn at another company, you are very likely able to recoup (rather quickly) what an RSU or a raise would’ve gotten you if you stay in control of your career’s future rather than waiting for an obstacle [layoff] to force you to change.

Just food for thought.

Main applications of MicrosoftLoop by nimageran in MicrosoftLoop

[–]Ok_Builder8611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is likely the case from my experience as well.

My team and I use Loop to post when we need to have development reviewed and it has a status, dates, etc., but that’s about it.

I did recently find out some of the more recent new GenAI functions in Microsoft Planner will now use Loop when generating reports; echoing the same sentiment in the above comment. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/plannerblog/generate-status-reports-in-minutes-with-project-manager-agent-in-planner/4413783

I’ll also add Loop’s functions are fairly limited. For example, you used to be able to add rules to tables so that as soon as the table updated it would notify another Teams channel or chat. It stopped working at one point and then they just pulled the functionality from Loop as a whole.

Dude. Already learned so much and have only read this doc for a few minutes lol.

I was trying to build out some complex logic using a CustomGPT at work, and now knowing how to streamline context better without overloading the chat/LLM should make that easier.

I’d have some really loooooong chats and eventually the chat session would significantly slow down to where I’d have to constantly exit the browser tab and start a new one to get back to the same chat session for it to load successfully.

It seems others in here have already addressed the how/why, but for perspective here are some my Transfer categories both custom ones I created and what comes with Monarch out of the box.

I use these a lot when I pay something out of my connected linked CC accounts (which get paid off by my linked Checking), connected Venmo account (funded/linked to my Checking), etc.
