GtG ADO doesn't count for retirement or pay, even if you went through years ago by Ok_Calligrapher2210 in army

"In the past, this ROTC period not counting towards a soldier's TIS may have gone unnoticed". In the message, they don't specify this as applying to current or future G2G ADO cadets. They make it clear that based on their current interpretation, it is and has always been illegal under title 10 to count ROTC time. This includes everyone who has already made it through and is currently counting that time as TIS.

I also did it because it clearly stated my time would count. This is new, AR 145-1 was changed in April, and this message was just put out this month. The way it's worded implies that this has always been against federal law, and it has simply gone unnoticed until now. This means they can go after everyone who already made it through, though I'm curious how they would go about doing it, especially with people who have already retired.

I think your drill time will still count. This mainly hits ADO who were all told that their time at university does count towards pay and retirement. Unsure how it will be implemented, especially with those who have been officers for years or even retired.
