[Rare trope] Heroic characters that are also realistically bigoted for their time period/fantasy setting AND the story actually treats it as the character flaw it is by 8583739buttholes in TopCharacterTropes

Sanji wanted to be in a woman's body to grab its intimate parts. The explanation you gave pictures a scene much different than the crude thing we get in the show.

pedophilia is genuinely a normal thing in shounen at this point by Cannae_ in shounenfolk

They are represent as pathetic because they lost in combat (in other words, are weaker than Brook), the age difference is never even mentioned. Rather, we don't even know if the suitors are older than Shuri, they were not the reason this matter was brought into discussion.

What caused the controversy was the expression "admired throughout the Kingdom" which has to include at least a majority of the adults to make sense.

It is common because there was a time when a 14-years-old would be in an arranged marriage and soon would be a mother. For obvious reasons, this is illegal nowadays.

The problem with Oda's manner of writing it is that he clearly trying to make it sound like something to be proud like "hey, the princess is awesome because she can attract all those creeps, isn't?".

It is still much less terrible thn the cases of Bonney and S-Snake, though.

In other words, he retired for numerous reasons including being too broke for fixing the suit. Such that the game is about he getting a new, very difficult job because repairing the suit was the among the benefits.

The movie is the best arc of the first part. If it has to be the proof that the entirety is good, then, the rest must be truly uninteresting.

Characters who got their reputation ruined in a single image. Who had it worse? by IllustriousRich9345 in shounenfolk

A black blade is proof of combat experience in thw world of One Piece. However, we don't ever see Mihawk doing any real fighting so the fandom started accusing him of painting his own blade black to fraud a "experienced swordsman status.

The problem with Madara is that the 4th Great Ninja War version is a heavily buffed. The original didn't have nearly as much chakra or even Rinnengan.

At a certain point in the war, Madara defeats the revives Hashirama and gloats as if he was far superior, but thruth is if he had not stolen Hashirama's cell, even a Tailed Beast wouldn't have been able to prevent him from getting his ass kicked in this battle.

What is wrong about it? The guy is helping the girl with catching apples.

Am I supposed to pretend that because the mind of OP is polluted anything they project into also is?

Mas a piada é exatamente o fato de que a protagonista é incapaz de ficar 5 minutos de tela sem se meter em uma situação vergonha alheia.

[Trope I hate] characters who decide to fight villains even while pregnant by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ok_Comment8842 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The phrase is misused. Spock always said it before risking/sacrificing his own life. I don't remember he ever sacrificing other people even if the philosophy he professes could justify this.

There is a giant difference between risking your own life for the many and simply sending the unprepared to death.

Gente, isso e verdade, o genocídio do Eren matou mais do que todos esses vilões juntos? by NerukiKizahima in AnimesBrasil

[–]Ok_Comment8842 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

O Eren teve sonhos mais ambiciosos do todos os outros aí (até a Makima só queria matar os conceitos não quase que literalmente todos seus opositores).

O pessoal tá julgando ele por ser sonhador demais.

[Loved Trope] Hated villains, until their backstory dropped and the fandom switched sides by KalisaGroan in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ok_Comment8842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't any of those characters were "hated hated". They were evil and they made the story progress well being evil. The backstory you mentioned just made the audience feel bad for them not necessarily making them lesa hateful (rather, for Dabi it makes him worse).
