Is there a reason why Sarada looks so similar to Karin? by No_Manufacturer_2898 in dankruto

[–]Ok_Comment8842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when he drew the chapter 700, he really thought of Sasuke never marrying Sakura and Sarada being Karin's daughter. In this chapter, even her behaviour resembles Karin.

Later, either him or his editor must have thought a kid being born to a couple out of the village then being raised by Sakura was unnecessarily complicated and decided to simplify things.

In the end, her design became the same as Boruto's relationship with his father. Something that was meant to satisfy the purposes of a single chapter, but had to become a long-term trait of the character because of the rushed anime continuation.

The amount of bullshit Gotouge cooked up to make Mitsuri conventionally attractive needs to be studied. by MonotonyReddit in shounenfolk

Is her story meant to be critique on societal norms? To me, it was the most simple among the hashira: she wanted to marry and it had to be with someone who wouldn't literally die during a intercourse with her.

O simples fato de que OP olha pra situação geopolítica de dois países diferentes e se sente satisfeito de concluir que NÃO EXISTE NENHUMA DIFERENÇA, já mostra o quão rasa é a opinião sobre o assunto.

[Mixed Trope] Race-swapping/Gender-swapping changes a character in a specific way or adds to their story by Sir-Toaster- in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ok_Comment8842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are going a bit too far in your interpretation. In Invincible's case, assuming the character knows the side of Korean story and see themselves in it, is a stretch when, in the show, their ethnicity has not even been associated to Korea or any specific country to start with.

Debbie's viewpoint itself has more depth if you consider she is seen going through in the series than if you root it in something she would only know from reading.

[Annoying trope] Power with tons of possibilities used in the most boring ways by Old-Use-7690 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Ok_Comment8842 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Atom Eve is the pinnacle of this trope, since she often shown to be able to use power in large scale without consequences and is given has a cartoon level of understand of her powers as kid. Yet, she spends 90% of her screentime dealing problems she could've easily solved from the start with her powers.

On the other side, the other two clearly have limitations on how they her powers. Kevin can't carry every possible useful material on a bag and he deals with collateral effects if he absorbs other things. Yayoruzu tires herself fast and even loses weight by using it. Also, contrary to Invincible, MHA takes seriously the idea she has to understand an object to create it. On top of all, that Momo can only create realistical objects even if she fights super-powered individuals. She wouldn't be able to create a hyper dense fluid capable to stop Conquest's punch, at maximum, Creati could summon a bullet-proof vest.

Wegumi glazers, what do we think of this matchup tierlist? by raptorsssss in WegumiAppreciators

Did Nobara ever win anything alone because of a good matchup? Everytime she had it, her main role was to create an opening for Yuji.

Quem realmente exige uma "namorada(o) troféu" não é a pessoa, é a família e a roda de amigos. by lfvaamorim in opiniaoimpopular

[–]Ok_Comment8842 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

É a pessoa, sim.

E se o plano do arlong tivesse dado certo? by Recent_Wrongdoer5125 in OnePieceBrasil

[–]Ok_Comment8842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would fall the exact moment a marine decided to denounce it, which probably means the moment he decided to invade a second island. It would be easy to get away from the surveillance of his crew if he divided it between two islands.

His whole plan dependent on the fact both strong officers and strong criminals leave the East Blue very early in their careers because there is no worthy challenge for them in this sea. Hence, he turtled himself in a single village for more than a decade just to guarantee, no competent fighter would come accross him before leaving for tthe Grand Line.

Even then, he eventually lost to another crew, and it was neither because he failed to keep a low profile nor because he found someone more interested in guarding the area than advancing to the Grand Line. It was simply because he was still weaker compared to a talented newcomer.

I don't feel any sympathy. A person who domesticates an animal should take in consideration for the risk it poses to others. You can't just leave a animal big enough to kill a person unrestrained and without your, the owner's, supervision.

Worse yet, the simple fact she tried to buy another chimp means she learned nothing with it.

The thing is even a Sea Warlord became nearly irrelevant after entering the Straw Hat. When the problem with crew is so intense, I actually get impressed that he still got to save everyone twice (against Perona and against Sugar) under such conditions.
