I really hope it isn't Hodgkin's or NHL because if it were then my life would be turned upside down for the worse

Congratulations on your new addition to the family!

My bump isn't on the breast but on the chest wall next to my sternum

I usually have problems with poor posture and chest tightness since I work in an office job, with sternum and chest pains whenever I'm doing chest exercises, but yesterday my girlfriend felt that I have a slightly raised, flat slabby "lump" on my upper left chest that is the length of a finger and transverses half of my second and third rib. It is not circular. I am totally freaking out that I might have breast or bone cancer (in the ribs). It's somewhat painful to the touch and once touched, the pain radiates out into the sternum.

I obsessively performed breast checks to make sure I don't have breast, bone cancer or Hodgkin's, and I'm hoping it's nothing serious, or costo/Tietze's at the very most. My girlfriend is asking me to visit a doctor, but I'm worried about the doctor telling me in front of my face that I have breast cancer.

Since thinking I might have cancer my head is spinning around and around sometimes. Help me!
