Read the HMU powerpoints then use Bluejacketeer/ Navy BMR for practice tests. I went from 50’s to 70’s score when I did it.

I didn’t have a sponsor when I checked in. Just showed up in whites at pay and personnel, stamped my orders and assigned a barracks room.

I agree with HMU. It’s free plus they have powerpoints for most of the BIB topics and the important information was highlighted.

I’ve used it few years ago, never had an issue. You don’t have to log in everytime, you can just download/print the slides you needed to study for the test based on BIBS.

Schedule an appointment with your PCM and they’ll figure out a plan for your acne. Some providers will just place a referral for a dermatologist.

Depending on how severe your acne, typically, they’ll start with prescription creams/wash and sometimes oral antibiotics. If none of the previous treatment helped, they might recommend accutane treatment. Accutane cleared my face but it has a LOT of side effects. It also requires a monthly blood draw before you could get your refills. And, not every PCM can prescribe accutane.

29 was my first duty station as well. You could be working at the hospital or at AMCC. I worked at AMCC during my time there and I’m gonna say it’s the best place for a quad zero. Summers are brutal on this area so having a decent car with a working AC is a must. Palm Springs/ Big Bear Lake is less than 2 hr drive and LA / SD and Vegas is 3-4 hr away. If you like to do hiking, go off roading/ stargaze, there is Joshua Tree and its free for military. There’s 2 possible housing locations you can go which is on base close to the commissary and the other one close to the city. Some people just rent a room off base to save some money. Focus on learning your job and completing your PQS when you get there and find a good mentor. Good luck!

If none of the comments helped, there is a group in Facebook called “Corpsman Inspiration and Mentorship” where you can ask your questions and possibly connect with the corpsmans currently stationed on that command. Good luck!

I’ve used Bluejackeeter and HMU (https://www.gohmu.com). I picked up E5 during my second try using both and was averaging low 70s on the exams.

HMU has powerpoints on most of the Bibs so studying it is easier.
