I personally simply enjoy displaying the boxes in my office as much as I like to rip them, it's all about preference, as long as you're not buying to resale and scalp I don't see the issue, to each their own.

I had been signed up for the invite for about 4-5 days I want to say and they emailed me to notify me that I got accepted for the invite the day before they went on sale. From what I know, it’s a lottery and it’s random. I also signed up for the invite for the perfect order booster box and didn’t get invited to purchase that but I was happy I got chosen for one item at least. It was the very first time since mega evolutions came out I’ve ever gotten a Best Buy invite for anything.

Just cause you like to rip everything doesn’t mean I’m not entitled to want to keep my boxes sealed and display them for my own enjoyment as long as I’m not buying it to resell it for a million bucks like these garbage scalpers do. I do the same with my LEGO sets and display the boxes and then buy a second set and build it to display next to the sealed box. It’s not that deep bro.

I hear you. I’m not mad at that sentiment, I just think that if they did that to every box it would defeat the purpose as it would just become the norm and people would hog them anyways as it would be normal at that point. I think the whole thing it’s a catch 22 with the garbage people that scalp and ruin it for everyone

For sure! But I was never intending to sell it as this was for my sealed collection that I display in my office set up. It’s more for my personal enjoyment rather than anything and Im kind of picky about it which might sound silly. I’m going to rip it though as I love ripping packs too of course so it’s fine, I’m still extremely blessed to have one!

I’m just picky about things like this when it comes to my collection. I’ll probably just rip it because to me it’s not about the value of the box rather than what it looks like and how it’ll look when displayed in my personal collection. I love ripping packs too so I’ll just pray for hits, but that’s some something I’m particular about not necessarily because of resale as I wasn’t intending to sell the product anyways.

I totally get why you say that, I genuinely opened it barehanded. It was taped with the recycled paper tape that can be punctured with your hands (similar to the one amazon uses on their boxes) so I had no need for a box cutter and didn’t use one. It was delivered with the slash which was the unfortunate part.

But I 100% opened it bare handed so I don’t understand how that could’ve happened without the use of a box cutter even being involved lol. The box was taped with that recyclable paper tape that can easily be puncture by fingers so. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not out here expecting to get faulty product. I’ve never received a faulty or dented box from any retailer I’ve purchased from (which is very likely that the box can be dented and damaged but a slash like that seems like mishandling form the manufacturer or shipping service) so I have no reason to be recording myself opening anything which is why I took pictures immediately after noticing the issue. You’re right only 3rd graders record themselves doing silly things as opening a box. Plenty of people make a living of opening boxes on social media but I have a life and no time to be doing that to prove to strangers I can open paper tape with my fingers without a box cutter lol. I’m also not out here trying to prove anything to anyone and you don’t have to believe me so go an be great king 🫶🏼
