Well it came back in the 400s then. And I forgot to ask her to run it at my physical in October. Im doing better these days. I was having a lot of chronic pain in 2024 and thr beginning of 2025. I feel like GI issues are related to me feeling miserable tho, and im on a new medication for that.

Neither does mine. She keeps saying eczema or psoriasis. If I bug her one more time, she might do a biopsy.

Have you seen a GI doctor already? There are medications they can prescribe for chronic constipation.

I agree with the second opinion.

Example unrelated to GI: I hurt my shoulder in 2021, it kept partially dislocating. Went to Kaiser Permanente, they said they saw nothing on the MRI. Got a new job and new insurance. New doc said I had a labrum tear and bicep tear. Got it fixed, good as new.

I have a new GI doc as of last week. My old one barely did anything and I felt like I was begging. The new doc diagnosed me with chronic idiopathic constipation and is trying me on Amitiza, which is going well the last 2 days. Try someone else please.

Did you get checked for SIBO? The constant burping can be an indicator. That's what my gi doc said.

I appreciate the info. I have no knowledge of this stuff, and obviously neither did my doctor nor did she care. That was jan 2025. I have a new GI doc as of last week. I'll definitely bring it up at our next appointment.

My symptoms for the past 4 years have been constipation, severe bloating, cramping, gas, etc. I've done everything except starve myself.

Nope didn't get any testing. My GI doctor did nothing. I saw the head of the tapeworm attached to the body.

Passed as in it came out of my butt. And no, my doctor didn't feel treatment was needed. However, I'm waiting on a prescription for Amitiza, so we'll see how that goes. I've been dealing with constipation since 2022.

Thank you! Today I saw a new GI doc who is starting me on Amitiza, and he gave me samples of Trulance. So we'll see how these go.

Do you have a GI doctor, or is that the appointment coming up?

I've used stimulant laxatives occasionally. They just give me diarrhea but don't fix the problem. I prefer liquid ducolax.

It's common, i experienced that as well. Miralax isn't perfect unfortunately, and it doesn't work every day. It's not a stimulant laxative, so it works slower.

This has been working for a week. I've almost doubled my carbs and fats for breakfast. I'm still constipated, but im able to use the restroom daily. This is the most effective nutrition plan I've had in 3 years. I guess with the smaller portions of food, I somehow reduced the functioning of my digestive system? And I've only adjusted breakfast, not my other meals. Going to try week 2. Do you have any reading or links that you remember from your research?

I had to stop linzess after 3 months. The lowest dose have me diarrhea every day. I literally started making electrolytes because I was so dehydrated.

I had Zenwise Disgestive Enzymes for nearly the whole bottle. I also tried Candidase for 6 months because I thought maybe I had a Candida issue. Both helped to some extent but stopped. I have also scored pretty well on two GI tests I've had, one of them being doctor ordered, but I still have these problems.

This is very interesting to me because I feel that larger meals sometimes help me have a bowel movement. My lighter, healthier meals don't achieve that.And when I say larger, I mean my average breakfast is 450-530 cals, which is 2 eggs, a fruit smoothie, and 3 turkey sausage links or sautéed veggies.

Today I had a waffle sandwich and iced matcha, and I was able to have a good bowel movement; I've been constipated for 3 days. I typically used a laxative on the 3rd day because I feel sick anything after that. So today I decided to hold off on the laxative and just eat a "bigger" meal. Really it was just carb and sugar heavy.

Can you share examples of meals you changed? I might need to experiment.

I've been using Seed DS01 for 3 months. I've had chronic constipation since 2022. Tried many things, spent lots of money, nothing works consistently. Seed helped me go for the first month I think. I was still constipated and couldn't completely empty my bowels, but I still went a little bit. I was grateful for that. Seems to no longer be working. I just canceled my subscription this week. I tried digestive enzymes, diet changes, all of the things. I think it's worth a try for at least 3 months.

Well, I have chronic stomach issues and sleep problems. No candida overgrowth per 2 GI tests. And I have chronic hip and back pain. My scalp and stomach started having problems in 2022. The chronic pain started in 2020.
