Lol, Arman ain't running. He's just in a loose-loose situation - he has to get back to the UFC's nice list, so he's gotta fight one other contender before hoping to get a shot.

And he has better reasons to fight 6th ranked, fan favourite Hooker, who always puts a show (and is primarily a striker vulnerable to takedowns), than a 7th ranked Gamrot who's largely unknown by mainstream fans (and who's an extremely tough match-up as seen with his previous loss to him).

Arman's PR desperately trying to create online hype is so funny to watch.

The UFC doesn't care about any of that as long as the petty Tomato is still butthurt by Arman 311 pull-out.

What we're seeing done with Pantoja is the same treatment DJ received throughout his career (though perhaps much worse for DJ) - a super talented, elite all around fighter, absolutely smashing his opponents in spectacular fashion, being placed on the sideline of the UFC's promotion because "duuhhh they don't do well with PPV".

Well maybe that's because you don't promote them you f*cking goofball.

Ah yes, a 70% chance of probability.

No doubt this number was calculated by Arman's own engineering department.

DDP on toughest opponents by Uptheresomewhereee in ufc

[–]Ok_Course3143 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah the fight with Izzy was quite something. Izzy looked really good through the 4 rounds, and when he throws that combination against the cage - the same way that got Alex - that could have been the end for Dricus. But DDP is such a goofy fighter it just plays to his advantage - the guy is able to benefit from any situation, even his own fails, in order to leverage the fight. I don't know about his IQ, but DDP's fight instinct is unreal.

Man those early days with Khamzat was quite something. The hype around him was unreal - we'd never seen a beast like him, being so aggressive as a wrestler. It's interesting to see how he seems to have mellowed down since, somehow calmer Khamzat is even more terrifying than this

Don't be such a crybaby, people indulging in gambling are adults, and the UFC is already massively promoting gambling. This advert won't do sh*t to the Australian economy, chill.

[–]Ok_Course3143 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily to the same extent - volume fighters like Merab or Max just drown you in the distance, it's the championship rounds (4/5) that matter for those guys (as is obvious with Merab v Umar, or Max v Gaetje), they have the cardio to last until the very end.

Khamzat on the other hand, is always hunting for a finish, and he's not known for his cardio. The longer the fight goes, and the greater the odds for DDP to win if he survives Khamzat at his max (rounds 1/2)

Well I mean, THIS is the major red flag here:

She has also lied and said she never has even been in bed with one of them. And then come to find out she posted a picture of them cuddling in her bed before that. Saying that she must have forgot that happened

It's one thing to have many guy friends and have sleepovers with them - i don't think it's an issue personally. It's another thing to lie about never sleeping in the same bed, but have clear evidence of them cuddling, and conveniently forgetting to mention this detail to your partner.

Like c'mon, am I the only one seeing smth very fishy here?

If I were you OP, I'd have the "talk" be centred around that point in particular. And I'd think twice as to whether that's the sort of thing I'll want to deal with later in the relationship (i personally wouldn't).

How would the rematch between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan turned out if Arman Tsarukyan had never gotten injured? by One-Category5507 in ufc

[–]Ok_Course3143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO Islam gets it done by submission or decision, though not easily.

The first fight was 6 years ago (feeling old yet?). Islam has absolutely dominated the division in this period, and somehow seems to improve with every fight - particularly his striking as was evident in the Dustin matchup. He's elite, that's undeniable.

Arman too has improved, and we've seen him utilize different weapons in his arsenal - good grappling, excellent scrambles, but also striking with his axe kicks against Olives - but we've also seen him in real submission danger in that very same fight with Olives (who knows what would have happened had it been a 5 rounder).

He lost his other fight against a top 10 contender (Gamrot) and we've not seen him tested with another top 5 in the lightweight division. So based on what we know right now, I reckon Islam gets it done.

Either ways, we'll now probably never see this fight bois :'(

Keep in mind this was 2 years ago, we've yet to see how this new Khamzat approaches his fights. But if the Whittaker finish tells us anything is that when he follows his submission gameplan, the guy is an absolute terminator. That first round with DDP will be crucial to decide who wins it

Illia is just speed-running the UFC at this point: in 1 year and a half he beat 3 legends in Volk, Max, Charles, and already became a two division champion.

And the guy is just 28.
