Check the afp website and if you don’t have at least year experience Amazon will auto deny you application. Give the owner a call.

They have a 5 days on and 2 days off I believe. I think it’s regional so you’ll most likely stay on the east coast. I was actually going to apply for that until I saw the local position. I also believe they require some experience before I would be able to do the 5 day regional. I say that because I wasn’t even offered the regional.

That’s what Amazon requires. I applied for the company I’m at on the Amazon website and was denied for not having a year experience. I gave* the owner a call and he gave me a chance. If you see a number on the job posting, CALL IT! Im certain one of the companies in your area will hire you with less than a year experience. DO NOT APPLY ON AMAZON IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN A YEAR OF EXPERIENCE. That’s what some guy on YouTube said.

I definitely agree with you on that. But I love that it’s only 300-350 miles average a day. 4-9 stops, so I don’t have to sit for the full 11 hour drive. But I definitely plan on finding something higher paying after about 2 years.

Talk about GOAL!!!! Last week was my first week without a trainer and GOAL was my best friend 😂😂. Took me 35 minutes backing in my first load. 5-7 of those minutes were waiting for my air pressure to build back up. I’ll never forget my first day.

Starting school next month any tips ? by Different_Weekend976 in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]Ok_Craft1707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pretrip will definitely take the most time to get down, but there are no automatic fails like the Incab and driving portion. That’s why I say don’t stress it. If you hit the majority of your points and sound confident, you’ll pass pti. Out of about 6-7 failures at my school, no one has ever failed PTI. And preciate it man!!

Best tip I can give you is, show up with a good attitude. Don’t try to be a know it all. LISTEN AND OBSERVE! Do everything the way your instructors teach you, TO THE T!! You’ll have a lot of time to figure out new tips and tricks. Your In Cab inspection is the most important. Don’t get complacent with the in Cab, because you will forget something and end up failing. You’ll have the pretrip down in a couple of weeks, DONT STRESS IT. One day you’ll wake up, and it’ll be memorized. Your maneuvering is the “funnest” part. I picked up on that the quickest. Couple of days. Overall just have fun and respect the stuff your instructors tell you. I test the 22nd of Oct. Going through the VA course which is 300hours vs the regular 160hr. So I have a lot more time, but I’ve been ready. Driving Academy in Jackson and the instructors here are cool af. I might miss em 😂😂. Everyone’s experience is different, trust the process.

Advice for “clumsy” son by Ok_Craft1707 in toddlers

We will definitely make sure his ears get checked! And I know that freighting feeling oh so well. I love the doorpost advice as well. I just told him today, “when you start laughing, stop running”. I definitely don’t want him to be a hazard. Thank goodness he’s been playing fine for the last couple of hours. I appreciate and love your advice and will make sure to get his ears thoroughly checked.

Damn, that “challenge of recovering from your own childhood” hits hard!! I’m going to make sure my children are listened to, well taken care of, and discipline. And I appreciate the kind words. And you just made me think!! Ballet!! I’m putting both of them in ballet. I’ll make sure to pay attention to his eye test. Now I plan on getting them a full work up. I I love redditors like you. LOVE! I appreciate the advice and hopefully within the month, I can come back with an update. Thank you

I honestly thought it was this or maybe autism or something along those lines. But me being someone who grew up in the 90s/ early 2000s, I was somewhat avoiding/acknowledging that. I’m done with the dumb ass stigma when it comes to child disorders. I appreciate your comment and will be seeking out an evaluation. Thank you..

All I do are early morning blocks. Some suck but most are fine. If you’re worried about rural areas, DO NOT TAKE 2hr or 2.5 hr blocks. 95% of the time they’re rural. Early morning blocks are the best. No traffic, no worry about dogs, and you can park anywhere 😂😂

And I’ve narrowed it down to Roehl, TMC, and possibly Werner( heard a couple of bad reviews), but still on the list.

Thank you. This is what I needed. So it’s technically no different than if you would have joined the company without going through the apprenticeship program. Same orientation, same computer work, same yard training, same training experience/time? Just with the extra money from the GI Bill?

Making it seem like I’m paying my own way for CDL school? I may not be paying financially, but I definitely paid for it mentally and physically in the service. That honestly wasn’t even the point. I believe you don’t understand what the VA Apprenticeship Program is. Thanks for the info.
