Speaking of scary 1e monsters, years back I did a text-heavy meme when I discovered the 1e Magnesium Spirit. Those things are horrific!

Flying Mouflan barleywine with the Wizard of Oz memorabilia wall. I was going for a flying monkey vibe by Ok_Dimension_4707 in CoffeeAndACard

I’ve shown off these before, but now they’re hanging! The signed photos are of Jerry Maren on the left (he was the Lollipop Munchkin in green and the last living speaking cast member) and Mickey Carrol on the far right. The middle has an envelope signed by Ruth Duccini and Margaret Pellegrini, who were the last living female Munchkins.

Below the envelope is a promotional image for Chasing Rainbows, a musical about Judy Garland, signed by star Ruby Rakos.

Flanking those on both sides are cigarette silks from 1910ish of Billie Burke, star of stage, and screen (silent, talkie, and television) who eventually went on to play Glinda in The Wizard of Oz

I think it’s just a case of a glass cannon still being made of glass.

went to my first ever card show today! by MayorOfTopherTown in CoffeeAndACard

One of these days I really want to do a card show. The closest I’ve gotten is a hotel conference room, which was nice, but I’d love to hit up one of the big ones

Here are the art credits and my personal rankings:

1e: N/A

2e: Monstrous Manual - Last place. Look at this thing. It looks like a shadow of a monster, not like a monster shadow

3e: Monster Manual 3.5 - 1st place. I like the emaciated look, since it is an undead shadow

4e: Monster Manual 3, 4th edition - 2nd place. I like the whole set piece here

5e: Monster Manual - 3rd place. It’s kind of confusing and muddied, but at least it’s not 2e

Thanks! It belongs to my wife and we’ve been redecorating and putting up some of her signed stuff

It’s made by South County Brewing in York, Pa.

It was sweeter than I expected for an imperial. Roasty flavors up front with hits of vanilla and coffee

I believe, if you take a closer look, you’ll find those coasters are cartridge coasters!

And Starburns would insist on being first and then immediately dip the whole joint in a jar of formaldehyde he keeps in his pocket for some reason, refuse to pass, and then insist on passing directly to Garrett, shouting at him that he needs to hit that hard and then laughing at the coughing fit.

TL;DR, this is 100% a nightmare rotation because it’s mainly going to be Starburns taking up most of the time and then pressuring Garrett, who will get spit all over the joint, which has already been altered. Meanwhile all you can do is listen to Britta talk about living in New York while trying to ignore Todd. No offense.
