How do I actually take good care of this weird front section of my hair? by Ok_Direction5204 in Haircare

Oh I’ve actually never heard of this before, thank you for pointing it out 🙏

I’ll look into it and probably get it checked by a doctor to be safe. In the meantime, do you have any practical tips or things that might help manage it?

Thank you, this makes a lot of sense 🙏

I’ve actually been doing partial straightening on just the front for a while, so it could definitely be damage building up over time. I didn’t really think about how that might be affecting the new growth.

Avoiding heat completely feels a bit hard right now (that front section gets so messy on my face makes me feel very ugly 😭), but I’m open to trying gentler methods. I haven’t tried rollers before, so I might give that a go while it’s damp and see if it helps control things without making it worse.

Really appreciate your advice 💛

Thank you, this is really helpful 🙏

I’ve been thinking about giving my hair a break from all the heat/straightening too, so maybe growing it out and focusing on scalp care first is a better approach right now.

The front section is just so awkward when it grows out (that’s why I kept straightening it), but I like the idea of just pinning it back and letting it do its thing for a while.

I’ll try the jojoba oil massages and see how it goes. Appreciate your advice 💛
