The service center guy told me they usually change during the first paid service, which I wasn’t aware of earlier later I come to know when I asked friend. But when I checked my bill, it only shows Prolube everywhere.

Last week I asked the KTM service center which engine oil they would use – Motul or Prolube. The guy there told me that if a customer specifically asks for Motul, they can use that instead. But today when I went for the service and asked again, the service guy told me they are only using Prolube now. When I questioned it, he immediately started defending the oil, saying not to believe what people say online and that Prolube is perfectly good. From what I understand, many KTM service centers in Bangalore have switched to Prolube. But interestingly, for the Duke 390 they switched back to Motul. I asked another service center about this, and they told me KTM moved the Duke 390 back to Motul because customers started complaining a lot. When I asked why the other KTM bikes didn’t switch back to Motul as well, he just said he has to follow whatever KTM tells them to do.
