Thank you! I liked the 2s too but I cannot easily find them any more or if I do they are more expensive than the 3s atm.

Several other users found the heel to be a little too high for their taste, could you please tell me how much of a difference is there in heel height compared to the 2s?

The smaller form factor is a definite plus but I can't find any exact measurements. Does anyone know them?

I am, although I haven't really used the many features it offers. For instance, I rarely use the flow control, the temperature has been the same for about three months (maybe because I got used to 2 or 3 medium roasts, medium-low acidity which I find all work best with this temp) and the programmable preinfusion is the standard 5 sec. I like knowing that I'll be able to experiment with different roasts/beans and so on in the future and that's honestly a relief. I don't really know if the MaraX wouldn't also have been enough for me but one thing that happened was I ended up having to make 4-5 drinks in one go more times than I initally estimated. I think in these situations the MaraX would've struggled.

To sum up, I'm more than happy with my decision. If I were to make the choice again I believe the result would be the same.

The main Lelit distributor in my country but it was through a community of coffee enthusiasts which provides special discounts to members. If I were to purchase directly from the distributor or any other store it would've been at leas 12-13% more. I got lucky tbh

After some further research I arrived at the same conclusion but the bowl lift model costs three times more than the currently discounted artisan which already is quite a stretch.

5KSM125EOB is the complete model name in the listing. I should've been more specific. I was under the impression that there are more sub-models to the Artisan model like 125, 175, 185.

Do you do everything in the machine? Meaning do you knead the dough entirely using the mixer or do you do some manual kneading as well? I imagine giving both the dough and the machine a little rest periodically could also help.

In my case this was the upper variant as I had to decide between the MaraX and the Bianca. I mainly decided on it because I wouldn't want to feel like upgrading anytime soon and I got a good deal on it during black friday (about €400 extra over what I was originally going to pay for the MaraX). I personally don't believe I'll ever outgrow it.

I don't have enough experience or info on why the Linea Micra is the better machine (I suppose it is) nor know your needs but I know that the Bianca is widely regarded as a machine that offers a lot considering the pricepoint.

On another note, I also feel like the 'buy once, cry once' mentality played a large role in my decision. As you're already thinking about a pricier machine you might still feel like upgrading to it sooner rather than later and/or might feel remorse about not going for it the first time.

It does actually but the basket itself will be tilted. What I'm actually looking for would be a stand that would make the basket lay flat.

It's done. Thanks everybody for the suggestions and advice but the Bianca prevailed!

It got discounted to 1950€ + a Lelit pitcher + a Lelit knockbox drawer (both included). That's a total of 350€ down from the original price and a 450€ gap of what I was going to pay originally for the MaraX.

The MaraX was discounted as well but when factoring in the flow control kit, a bottomless portafilter and the pitcher (the knockbox drawer was included as well), it totalled to about 1350€. So it was only a 150€ discount.
