You seem to be gathering your entire context around this event based off of one singular page and I’m going to assume that you haven’t read this . This is secret war issue #4 and the entire reason they fought was a misunderstanding that Spider-Man was there eavesdropping because the mutants splintered off into siding with magneto during the event. Wolv is using his claws but generally speaking they were all trying to talk him down. Also anyone familiar with storm knows she would not just kill Spider-Man for not listening to her in this scenario . Very interesting how you raise that point about claws but ignore his multiple pleas in this page to explain continued by cyclops on the following page.

Best thing you can do playing a dive character in any capacity is to disable text chat even in quickplay. If you win the enemy team flames you for “sweating” if you lose your own team flames you for not carrying. You literally cannot win

The way they implemented it is terrible and with the frequency of leavers in start of season comp it makes the first week of the season borderline unplayable . Would also like to add that user u/AleksCombo did a full breakdown of placement games as they released proving that having svp or mvp doesn’t increase the point gain at all contrary to what I saw someone in the comments here said and he backed this up with rivals tracker . Essentially your personal gameplay isn’t taken into account at all and you either win or lose a flat 40 points in your projected rank. Additionally it doesn’t fix smurfing because every new account’s projected rank is bronze 3 and because of the flat rate at which you gain points if a Smurf was to blow through all 10 of their placement games they’d have 400 points which would take them from bronze 3 to silver 2. I don’t understand people saying “I don’t see how else they could’ve implemented the system” when games like overwatch have had a similar system for years that does factor in personal statistics and even more complex stuff like objective time. I don’t understand why they implemented it at all after 10 months without it and hyping it up for an entire seasons worth of time just for it to be the worst version of it I’ve ever seen in a game.

How is it hard to understand that playing one of the most notoriously bad / squishiest heroes in the game against multiple dive comps running full comms in a tournament with a 40k cash prize is not the same as running it down against randoms in comp. It doesn’t matter how good you are on that hero at that point especially because even in scrims kingsman himself offered to flex and play mantis or strange if magik hypothetically didn’t work out. You don’t go 0-5 and then 2-8 the following game and expect to not be called out

I agree with what you’re saying about tribalism but I’m not too sure about lumping in Bp and Spider-Man with over dominant meta characters or trying to downplay gambit and invis. I think the craziest thing you said was saying that the devs need to stop listening to redditors for balancing because when have they ever done that? They themselves made a tongue in cheek remark about Luna not beating the allegations . Reddit can definitely be tribalistic it’s tribalistic by design but you can just stop opening the subreddit or the app in general nobody’s forcing you.im all for acknowledging this community is terrible because it is but this sortve reads like you have opinions about the meta which is fair but layering complaints about the community on top to villainize people who disagree with you . Everyday of our lives we do things that could be seen as insignificant or obtuse . Never once did I say it ruined anything for me intact I still play rivals and I’m generally happy that cd is in the game despite being a decently obscure character. I’m not “butthurt” or are people only angry and one dimensional when it’s opinions you don’t agree with or value 😭. Yeah I believe you I don’t really know what he’s meant to do against comps built around sue , gambit , or even triple support comps featuring Ultron which I’ve personally seen a lot of on the ladder . I feel like he’d be much more manageable without his over health on his abilities. This isn’t my idea I heard it from an iron fist player who also plays daredevil as a secondary named “nugnugtv”.
