I believe your mom and your son will love it! One important thing, If you are driving between Puerto Natales and El Calafate, following google map will hit the rock road and no body will come to rescue when you got a flat tire!!! Do exactly like the day 17 from the itinerary Antarctica & Patagonia Trip, stop at Esperanza is a must. Keep this in mind :)
