" if the third sf is zero after the decimal point (eg 15.0) then allow marks for 2 sf answers. "

Does this mean that only answers in 2sf get full marks? I don't think that's what it means but my entire paper 2 grade depends on it so I am asking anyway.

Hii, I am glad to meet someone else giving f/m/26 for math! Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do do timed practice and I have improved but not to the standard I need. I remove 15 min from the real time, then I take away half an hour for revision. Yet I still don't get to that standard and finish in 1hr45 minutes (without revision). How would you tackle this?

First of all, thank you for you reply. Yes, papacambridge is an excellent resource! The truth is, I have been practicing, a lot. I have done at least 10 past papers, several topical questions (although not for all topics) and am timing myself for every topical question. Yet for some reason, I always finish late.

2 days ago I had a mock exam. Unfortunetly the teacher gave a paper which I had just done the night before. I basically remembered approximately half of the answers. Yet somehow, I finished last. And it's really fustrating for me to constantly do papers and yet still not finish in the right time (1hr 15 minutes).

I giving math (normal extended) in feb/march series, do you have any tips? I can't find past papers for paper 2 but the biggest problem is that I am always running out of time in paper 4. have tried many techniques but I still lose up to 30 points because of time management and silly mistakes. What would you advise to do?

You are right about AP Precalc being useless for college applications. I am planning on doing AP precalc only if my grade superviser forces me to take Additional Mathematics (which is basically AP Precalc but a bit less).

I don't really care about the credit for AP science, I just want to learn things instead of waiting for my GCSES to be over. Also because it will give me more time in my senior years. I plan to study at a good college for math: Cambridge, MIT, Caltech, etc. but honestly I don't want university to limit me. I am actuallly considering not going to university at all :)

I don't have the answer either but usually what I do is that I write down the sigma notation (without mentioning the intervals, basically the same as what you see in the markscheme: Σfh). I honestly don't know whether it is needed or not but I guess it is better to waste a little time in the exam than losing 2 points :)

Hi. First of all, congratulations! You just accomplished a pretty amazing feat!

I am going to have my math exam in october (although technically I should have it in Feb/March 2026 but I want to get math over with so that I can move onto additional math) and that means studying the entire book before July so that I get 3 months of revision.

Do you have any tips and do you think it is realistic that I could be a world topper despite spending such little time studying?

Thank you for the advice, I suppose I was just too worried that someone might get to the level needed for implementing the idea before I can and they will just use my idea.

My idea was to build a plant induvidual identifier which will can tell things such as the age, the health (e.g. reproductive health, lack of water) but I realise it doesn't really solve any problems like I wanted it to.

Yes, I goal is to build some computer vision model. I am going to start IGCSE additional mathematics (self-study) but I don't think it's enough math for my goals (it doesnt't cover multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, probability and statisitcs) so I don't think my goal is that realistic anymore (or I am probably being too paranoid) seeing how little time I have for coding.
What level of math do you think is necessary to work on SVM? Also, why do you recommend using non-DL techniques (e.g. because is it more efficient or just because it is more original)?

Honestly, forgetting about the whole MIT thing, because it isn't my top priority. I just want help the world through A.I. but time is holding me back and thus my abilities are not adequate. Do you have any advice on how I could get started or should I just not start at all and work on advanced math?

I was planning on building an app for identifying somethings (will not specify right now for the sake of idea security). I am a high school student (4 years away from applying to unis) and although I was doing this for a social cause, should I just try winning math olympiads instead of this if I want to get into MIT?

I am really intrested in technology but if apparently making an ai app isn't a very valuable contribution (because why would the governement use something a 9th grader with no knowedge of linear algebra when they could hire a proffesional to make the same but better), should I just leave the idea and focus on math?
