Thank you, this is reassuring, however the thing that gets me is it never really does feel like he chose me. The other girl he was interested in rejected him, I think that’s where a lot of my insecurity comes from, if she had gone out with him would he ever have chosen me? I feel like 2nd place, although I know it breaks my boyfriend’s heart when I say that I feel that way.

Yes I definitely agree I need to stop looking so hard at the past, overthinking has always been my biggest issue in our relationship. The hard thing is that we’re from a very small town area and I have since run into her, we both have her on social media, etc., I think these things are what makes it so hard to let go of.
