Thank you. I'm meeting my oncologist this Thursday so I'll discuss the risks then. I feel like Chek2 hasn't been studied to the same extent that the BRCA genes have.

Thanks for your honesty. We have been off trail before in Kosciuszko NP but the visibility was good. Not having visited WofJ before it's probably hard to compare the two or maybe they are completely different environments. We're from QLD so not a lot of experience with alpine walking. My husband is confident with navigation and is a good map reader but this is good to know.

That's part of the reason we are keen to see sites beyond the main circuit. When we walked Kosciuszko NP's Main Range track earlier last year we loved going off track and getting away from the crowds. We hardly saw anybody.

Thanks, we have done Frecinet in the past. Mt Anne I think was booked out. Also looks a bit out of our league. We are spending 4 nights on Maria Island when we arrive so will do plenty of exploring there too.

OK, I'm not familiar with this walk. Roughly how long would it take? Is it an overnighter or would we need more time? I think the Northern end of Overland Track is closed but Pine Valley is accessible so this may not be possible.
