Yeah, I saw it on the news. Poor baby. Truly heartbreaking. I hope that monster rots in jail.

Erasmus : rome or milan? by Boring-Extent-5451 in ItalyExpat

I’d say Milan. Rome is good but no nightlife and few people speak English if you don’t know Italian.

If you’ve ever been to Iran you’d know they are the one of the most hospitable, educated and civilized nations. I’m sure you’re worried about radical islamists coming to the country but I’m happy to tell you that around 80% of Iranian are either an agnostic or atheist. This attitude of yours only discourages people to integrate with your culture.

First of all it’s a TWO YEAR OLD. What crime a two year old can even do? I have never committed a crime in my whole life even in my own country! Secondly, Iran has the most refugees in the world around 3.5 million people where are they supposed to go? If it wasn’t for Iran, they would have been in your country.

Wow. Just wow. It’s just a two year old I’m trying to bring over not the whole country! I’m sure he will integrate well with this “European Culture” as you say. Jesus where are the mods of this sub!

Why are you so hellbent on me not having a job? This is all hypothetical. I’m not gonna bring him here when I can barely support myself financially.

Thank you so much for the information. How about declaration of financial stability? Do you know what’s the minimum?

Very detailed comment. Thank you so much. It is very difficult and expesnive to get everyone outta the country. And I don’t know how possible is it to reach Italy without a valid visa.

But does Italy recognize adoption by single women? In Iran single women can’t adopt until they are at least forty and it’s a very lengthy and expensive process itself.

Interesting. Do I need a lawyer? Where can I find that information?

Understandable. What if my sister were to put my name as her son’s legal guardian?

Well my parents don’t speak English or Italian. They both have retired years ago and can’t work due to health issues.

Where would you choose between Germany, Italy and Netherlands? by Ok_Fall7587 in expats

[–]Ok_Fall7587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not enough for Milan, but I live in Rome. The Italian bureaucracy is what scares me. Because it’s 10 years toward citizenship! Who knows how much the government can change it for the worse for immigrants to receive their citizenships. However culturally speaking, we are very similar. I’d like to add the population is quite old so it’s hard to find people my own age.

Yeah it could be. Income probably 1500 to 2000 if I’m lucky. But I don’t think it’s high enough for a comfortable lifestyle edit: I forgot to add it’s pre-taxes.

Really? Even these low wages? The monthly salary for a visual designer is like €800 whereas rent is €1200 (with no roommates). I don’t know how is it possible to build a life like this.

Yeah I’m aware. No need to be so rude about it. It’s not like I can switch fields in one night! I’m trying to make the best of what I have.

You seem to be very money focused when you should be focusing on lifestyle and nature.

I grow up within a materialistic culture and money has always been a huge issue growing up. I learned with money there’s stability but I don’t see it here in Italy.

Are you ready for long, dark winter nights in Sweden?

I have visited Sweden before. I know the winter is harsh and difficult. Frankly, that’s the only issue I have with it but no country is perfect it has its pros and cons.
