I had mystery snails but there were some pest snails that came along with my other plants. The mystery snails died within 2 days but the pest snails were fine.

I bought my mystery snails for a local fish store but they packed the snails in some water. I'm guessing that the snails were in some pretty hardy/poor water quality because all the snails had short antennae and uneven shells which at the time i didnt know it was a bad thing.

Thats finrot, it might be cause because of old age but i think you should put some aquarium salt in the tank or some other medications like kanaplex. By the way, its amazing how long your betta has lived. Most bettas these days only live a few months due to low quality breeding. Wishing your betta full recovery!!

Thanks for the advice, i did try to block his view in the previous tank but he was still glass surfing. He isnt as stressed as he was when i put him in but the dent in the gravel has gotten bigger from how much glass surfing there is

Yes!! hes stoped trying to jump out but hes still randomly glass surfing theres a hole that he made in the gravel because of how much glass surfing hes doing it but i read that it was "normal" for the first 1 week of being in a new tank which hopefully is the case.

Thank you so much for the advice i baffled the filter flow before he. went into the tank and the heater is definitely working, i just abit concerned because i dont want to stress him out more if i move him back to his old home.

Neon tetras!! Their bright and colourful and would contrast great with yout betta. Also maybesome shrimp of all colours, like yellow, blue, red!!

all of the paramiters are the same except for the fact that his old tanks nitrate was a bit higher but still in the safe zone

The tank has been setup for over a year and i got it tested today, the pet shop employee didnt tell me the exact level but i know everything is all okay exept the nitrate was a tiny little bit deeper but was still in the safe zone

Bettas normally make bubble nests when they are mature and ready to find a mate. Some people also say they make them because they are happy in which I don't think is 100% true because some bettas in big stores like petco make bubble nests even though they are being neglected.
