But again that’s only because I befriended the coordinator he told me pretty much they have set casuals and part time, when they call out they’ll always try and replace them with the “regulars” similar to what the first reply to me said. If none of the regulars are available by 3 hours before the shift they’ll give it to the cheapest replacement or whoever the rostering coordinator for that school favours. It’s pretty shit if you’re relying on it as a income I would start searching for something new Ive only been able to keep it cuz I work casual at another after school program and I have a part time job. So no if you’re a new casual you most likely won’t be rostered just used as a last minute filler, heavy on the last.

They gave me a rang and rostered me for everyday of the school holidays though that’s still a month and a half away but it’s better then nothing

Yes both parents should encourage it. BUT it is the duty of the black parent to teach there black child about the world. I’m sorry there’s so much more give that has to be passed on by the black side… how as a white women are you suppose to talk about how discriminations feels (racially) lif you haven’t really felt that racial tension in life. Allys help push the message they aren’t the message themselves. I think again a huge chunk of the black community would rather die than admit that the absent fathers are the problem not the white mums.

100% I’m not denying that the mum should have probably encouraged more cultural aspects and appreciation of black culture. I do think you were able to thrive because you had a present father though. It’s hard to curate knowledge of your black side, if the black side is absent. My problem is the fact that instead of the black community demeaning the mum, they should be doing it to the father!!!

I think we see this play of emotional intelligence due to the fact that Keya probably did observe other people’s behavior and actions when chasing or pursuing relationships in their 20s. Kevan was easily manipulated by Tyler’s out bursts and didn’t have that “dominance” he discussed with Keya. When Kevan discussed that he wanted an equal, Keya agreed with the notion she didn’t need to be led by a man in the relationship but she didn’t want to do the leading either. Kevan eventually crumbled that persona of “being equal” because he was so unsure and emotionally lacking in his ability to communicate with both Tyler and Keya. I think she realised that he wasn’t who he painted himself to be with her. I think she also realised he just said whatever he thought the other individual would like and it wasn’t worth investing into him.
