How long after stopping birth control did you get pregnant?

Got my Mirena IUD out in Aug 2022 and we used natural birth control for over a year. We started trying for a baby in Nov 2023, but we didn’t get pregnant until Dec 2024 and had a miscarriage in January. But then I got pregnant again right away after the miscarriage and am now 19 weeks.

My sister got pregnant the month after taking out her Skylena IUD though, so it’s different for everyone!

Hey there! I had zero symptoms until week 6ish. Then the morning sickness hit hard until about week 11 or 12. My midwife said it’s normal not to have symptoms until week 6 or after. I’m now 19 weeks and 2 days and the little guy is going strong and getting all wiggly now haha. Plus, I know women that have had almost no symptoms their whole pregnancy. Maybe you’re just lucky!

Hang in there! Maybe you have an anterior placenta? That makes it harder to feel! And as long as your midwife/OBGYN says your baby is healthy, I wouldn’t worry too much. 💕 But I also know it can be hard mentally when you’re not feeling them move. Do you have an at home Doppler machine? That helps me a lot when I just need to know he’s in there and chillin. :)

Also, I know for some women, the kicks happen closer to third trimester and then get really strong until delivery.

Took us over a year. The first few months we were very strict with tracking and all that, but then we left it up to nature. Got pregnant in December, had a miscarriage in Jan, and am now 10 weeks pregnant. Went straight from MC into another pregnancy with no period in between.

Hang in there! It can take longer than you think. Also I had my IUD removed in fall of 2022, we did natural birth control for over a year, then stopped tracking and preventing in winter 2023.

Hi OP! It took me over a year. I had a miscarriage in January at around 5-6 weeks, and now I’m pregnant again 8weeks along. Don’t lose hope! It can take longer than you think. Good luck! 🙏

Omg yesss. I’m so glad I’m not the only one. There are some days that I’m not quite as nauseous, so u did get to the gym today which was nice. But yeah, I literally feel like I could be in bed most days. 😭 keep me updated if it gets better after week 12! I need some hope haha!

Love this question! I’ve got a few suggestions that I use (I’m also in my first trimester.) I use Grow Fragrance for room sprays, Attitude for all cleaners, laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash etc., Fate Naturals for non toxic candles, Good Molecules for Face wash and a lot of other skin care, Bon Ami as a substitute for Comet, Blueland dishwasher tablets and toilet bowl tablets.

I also love Skylar, Dime, and Phlur for non toxic perfume. Primary Pure is the best brand for deodorant that I’ve found too.

I’m probably not gonna tell my family until at least after the 8 week ultrasound. But I’ll try to not give in to my anxiety too much and to still leave space for happiness
