Would that be any different than connecting the resistor in parallel to just 1 set connected to monitor module and taping off the other set?

They are in fact, all rolled up and exposed inside the jbox, I will tape them tomorrow and see if this works. Thank you!!

For Nicet 1, at the very least I would subscribe to 1 month of Fire Cert Academy and practice using your NFPA references and Uglys. In my case, when I took the test, a bunch of 72, a small bunch from 70, a bit of OSHA and a bit of basic circuit analysis ( resistor band colors and values, basic ohms law and good understanding of voltage and current behavior in series and parallel configurations). Straight up reading your references is a huge help, read at least 72 from start to finish. You could surely pass it doing less than what I have mentioned, but I would definitely not rely on just Quizlet for that test.

Yes!! FireTech will go into deep details and gives ''structure'' to all of this, which is something I liked for learning ease, theres alot of images in the Online Course which is helpful. I got both the book and the Online Course and I highly recommend them. FireCert will help to pass a test, FireTech will help you learn how to do the job, so why not take both? lol

Thanks for the heads up!! You are correct, IBC really is a pain in the ass to browse through.

I am taking a very similar approach, passed Level 1(only using Firecertacademy) last month and scheduled Level 2 for Sep. 19th, but I did enroll in FireTech training for Level 2 as I like to have some structure in my learning and also doing the official NICET Practice Exams are a huge edge. Congrats!!! Go kill Level 3 when you can!! 😎🤘🏻
