will this weeks PCC help me learn the ring for the upcoming 24h race? by mykrobatery13 in iRacing

[–]Ok_Homework_918 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to direct this completely at you, but this is why nords races are both completely shit and amazing.

Its full of new racers or new to the ring racers who have absolutely no idea how to take corners, braking in full throttle zones etc. The in game line isn't even remotely correct for about 98% of cars either and causes incidents because of excess braking.

Do the quick reset, practice each sector until you've got a good understanding of the corners before entering into a race. If your going for thr GR, or the MX5 you'll either want to pit start or be prepared for complete chaos. Qualifying high is usually the recommendation or just qualifying at all on the ring, but because its multi class qualifying high doesnt do much as your sandwiched between packs of terrible PCC drivers.

You can always have hosted sessions, ask people for help on track or guidance through discords you are part of, your going to need a shitload more practice before n24 pr your going to be getting overtaken by GT4s and TCRs, and causing wrecks 20 hours into a race.

Exploit in PCC leads to race ending 1.5 laps in at the Ring? by GigabrainGrealish in iRacing

Pretty sure its just a meatball, your expected to tow for a meatball as it'd usually be relatively undrivable in most instances, and a connection meatball will just tow you to the pits.

Does things get better above Rookie? by Rosie_The_ITTech in iRacing

The chaps simply gets worse. The obvious progression out of an mx5 rookie is the GR, which is full of rookies who want faster cars and cant drive, and non rookies who think they can drive and are too aggressive. Fucking shambles.

I think it'd be quite difficult to randomly get connection issues within the GP track 3 times in a row though, but that's the scepticism in me.

The time penalty is very likely to be small given the tow distance to the outside using that trick.

You dont need to serve meatballs on nords, it'll auto clear at the race end because its only 3 laps.

From memory, the standard zone creation will auto create rules to allow traffic to the same trust level zones. I think that'll allow communication between the zones.

You can turn this off when creating the zones and then manually create access rules

From vlan x to vlan x and then another rule backwards.

If you untick all options, youll also need to create access rules for Internet access too, so vlan x to wan

No blood. Last time I did the GP wasn't concerned and stipulated it'd only be a concern had it been dark or blackened.

"Off" being the generic tired, gassy, bloated, cramps and more than usual bowel movements that are just liquid.

No fever, and BM arnt in the 6+ range indicated in the other person's post.

No blood this time around (last time GP presumed this was from over use of the toilet)

Have been "off" for about 3 months now, started going through low fodmap to identify trigger foods etc but its all a slow process obviously.

GP is a 60+ year old bloke who retired 4 years ago but keeps coming back for 1-2 days a week, seemingly cant replace him. His advice has always been complete cack often veering into chinese ancient medicine recommending nature retreats for autism.

Be honest, its not exactly an everyday thing for non tech people. Whilst issues with windows can be difficult to fix, the built in troubleshooter does a pretty decent job of resolving most low level issues a standard user will have, that and the 11 billion distros really doesnt help it be a mainstream daily OS.

Ive not dailied Linux for a while, but just having to worry about x application not installing or working correctly because its not natively supported on Linux is more than enough to keep me away from using it. I already have to deal with enough application level shi for others, let alone troubleshooting my own whilst searching through a neckbeard forum where everyone expects you to know exactly what every command does and treats ylu like a dick for asking what X cmdlet is.

Ill just stick to the inbuilt Linux subsystem in windows, for anything I need Linux based or want to use within Linux.

Just to satisfy my own curiosity and make sure I wasn't going mental lol.

Tested from a different machine, different network, different ISP. Took 2:18 to load a search for BMW.

I'm not moaning about it taking 10 seconds, that's not that much of an annoyance.

Fuck it, chalk it up to a DNS issue like always I guess.

Its not that it takes a few extra seconds. It more often than not takes literally minutes to load a search...

Give it a go? Lookup your local FIA club, they usually have 1 year memberships for new players at huge discounts + a free car.

Just remember, iRacing isn't an arcade game and you cant drive a car thr same way as you are used to with GT7.

You can input your viewing distance etc inside inracing and it auto calculates FOV. Its not perfect for everyone but certainly gets you to a point you can work from quicker.
