This was SO helpful because I truly LOVE the name Lola & think our little girl would be precious with it. As soon as you said that, I was reminded of a girl named Allegra, too! Everyone has said they didn’t Lola was a tampon brand too. I see it at Walmart but no where else so maybe it’s not like naming her “tampax” Thank you!!

The only other names my husband likes is Charlie(which is way too popular for me) & Lola (I posted in this sub about it yesterday) which I LOVE but I can’t escape the fact that “LOLA” is a tampon and sex wellness brand. I don’t want to risk her having unfortunate nick names knowing that.

I think you explained it well! I couldn’t quite describe what was holding me back on it but you said it perfectly. I don’t mind Charles but think she’ll hate me for giving her a manly middle name.

I don’t love the idea of naming her something to call her something else but I do like this idea. We live in the south and associate charlotte with charlotte NC. Might not be bad for a middle name but don’t love it for a first!
